ecs tuning is in ohio and should be able to give advice. the bimmerforums are a great place to learn from. from what I have found so far with the e36's, is anticipate to spend 3-5k in a hurry for "bolt ons". 1kish for cams, 1-2k for valve train (solid rocker conversion), 500 for vanos delete, god knows what for a decent clutch, and plus ecu with a tune. I went with the route of get it dead reliable and upgrade the suspension before anything else.

 

if its the engine I think it is then tune, downpipe, turbo's, tuning, and your car will boogie.

GM parts is still screwed up from the strike. I deal with this every day, I waste plenty of time looking at things I cannot fix because I can’t get the parts. I don’t get paid until the car is fixed.

 

I feel for you. I felt horrible for the service advisors catching heat from customers when the parts weren't available and no loaner cars available when I was there.

man I have a new found hatred for patching over previous work. I feel your pain. If had to do it all over again I would have taken the entire house down to the studs. Great progress btw

just because they didn't glass things doesn't meant radiation leaking into water isn't harmful for that part of the world or anywhere else.

Nuclear power plants can't go supercritical and "glass" anything either, the U-235 concentration isn't anywhere near high enough (5% for a reactor vs 90% for a bomb IIRC).

First off congrats on the accomplishment. Unfortunately it will take some time to get it back up due to not having a line of credit that is current and long term. Your spot on with getting 1-2 credit cards and pay in full each month to earn rewards.

yea I agree clay. I went to a softer tire compound in the g35 and I don't blink an eye in the snow with family in the car. Its not even a dedicated snow tire.
