  1. If you are calculating the true cost of ownership, you might want to consider depreciation as well. Not.many cars appreciate in value but some of them maintain more value over time than others. I suspect the V or the VW would be better than the 8.
  2. I saw it on 270 traveling north near Roberts road. Not everyday you get to see a 3 wheeled car traveling on the interstate. From behind it looked like a box shaped Suzuki, but once you look at the front of the car with no wheelbase, it was kind of like WTF? It looked like a death trap.
  3. I like the looks. It seems to be somewhat influenced from the Italian marque Ferrari. Sharing similar lines with the front engine marque cars from the maker, i.e. 550, 575, GTO, etc. The increase in stiffness, 60/50 weight distribution, and use of carbon fiber and aluminum will pay huge dividends. The 50% increase in stiffness combined with a lighter weight leads me to think the handling will move more toward the responsiveness found in European cars. The tail lights don't bother me, I can see the similarities to the Camaro, but they grew on me pretty quick. Given everything that GM has been through with the economic downturn, I am glad they decided to mix it up.
  4. How do you make the algorithms better, sell more adds, make customers happy? Up the speed at which you can surf.....
  5. very cool, so much planning, attention to detail and process to pull that off.
  6. More info: Looks like they used low range on a fairly stock truck..... No big deal for the Yota as it could tow anything for 100 yards? http://www.usatoday.com/story/driveon/2012/10/13/toyota-tundra-pickup-space-shuttle-endeavour/1631235/ More detail here with the engineers and needing roughly 400 ft/lbs torque to get the job done. http://jalopnik.com/5951454/how-a-5600+pound-toyota-towed-a-292000+pound-space-shuttle

  8. New Toyota Tundra commercial states truck pulls 150,00 pound space shuttle. How low was the gear in that truck rated @ 381 hp to pull the shuttle. On another note, great advertising on Toyota's part. Not everyday the opportunity arises to pull a part of history....
  9. Would love to rock that thing as a commuter on my 3 mile commute. Is there any way to lock it up? (i.e., chain, bike lock?)
  10. Is a 6sp in this model somewhat rare? I know there are a ton of autos out there but could you advertise the 6sp as a unique quality that is not found everyday. A quick search on autotrader revealed there were 20 cars for sale nationally that were manual a6's btw model years '99 to '01. Highest Price:$10,999 Lowest Price:$3,998 Average Price:$7,168
  11. Anyone have a link to this? My dad puchased a '12 2500 GMC and I would like to fwd along the information.
  12. Overall I thought this one was pretty lame. I think it did spin off a bunch of sound bites that both sides will use over the next 14 days. Thought it was also ironic that O made fun of the tv attack ads, I wonder if he knows that he is running the majority of them, especially in OH?

    Taxes.

    "Instant Classic"
  15. That thing looks great, such a timeless design.
  16. Obama is much more engaged this time around, which is good. However his command of the economic issues is certainly lacking. It seems as though he is fixated on expenses when that is only part of the conversation. What is missing from Obama's logic is that he is overlooking top line growth in the overall equation. A great question for Romney would be. "What do you assume GDP would grow at as you cut taxes and reduce the deficit?" If the answer is above 3-4%, then something is flawed.
  17. Anna's tailoring on the SE corner of Riverside and Cambridge, she usually turns stuff in 3 days or less on a normal basis, even faster by request.
  18. Congratulations and good luck in the new role. Always good to see someone put the customer first! I will be looking you up at TD.
  19. With ~400+ lbs of torque at 1rpm it makes me think the Tesla was not a WOT launch. With that being said, the turbos on the M5 seem to wind up pretty quick.
  20. Probably part of the condition to purchase the car from the owner.

    Debate

There was a rumor that Obama attended her first wedding....

    Debate

I don't think the 47% was a shot at people who have had run into difficult times, it was a shot at the people who have done little to improve their situation over a long period of time. Ryan did go to school and he is probably not sponging off of government subsidies other than the great benefits members of the government get.

    Debate

VP debate seems to be a better horse race than the presidential debate. It is certainly a different perspective than the presidential debate, these guys are in the trenches debating much smaller details than compared to last week.
  24. Noticed that as well, I wonder if it has to do with the number of frames per sec the video was shot in (in no way am I an expert on videos).
