  1. WTB: E36 non-M sedan driver side door (no rust, please) preferably in Calypsorot. Please let me know what you have.
  2. Something came up, couldn't make it....
  3. I might bring out my little guy and the race car tomorrow
  4. Well, not as good of a weekend as I had hoped. For those of you not friends with me on Facebook, here is my update from the weekend.... This was probably the worst weekend of autocrossing I've ever had in my life. I can't remember the last time I came away from a weekend feeling like this......From my first run to my last, it seemed like I just could not get anything right this weekend. Made a lot of changes to the car throughout the weekend trying to get something to work, but to no avail..... Lots of bittersweet this weekend to go from 2013 driving the Toilet Duck with Danny doing so well and then having a weekend like this the following year.....and watching a great guy like Kyle do SO well while I feel like a novice out there......Congrats again, Kyle! It has been a HUGE learning experience for me, and i hope to just pick myself up, dust myself off, and get ready for Wilmington and Nationals. Thanks to all my friends who have been chatting with me over the past couple of days, it has really helped with my spirits..... Time to leave this event in my rear view mirror........ Ironically, the only highlight of my weekend that has to do with driving was getting a .500 light on Saturday.....yup, that's about it..... Here are my two fastest (I use that term very loosely) runs from the weekend: Right: Left:
  5. Subscribed for more pics, once you've gone through them all. Specifically looking for the PTG and Touring BMW's that were out there (Silver E36 and Valvoline E36) Thanks!
  6. A few pictures of Ron Burgundy in action from this past weekend's autocross....
  7. Had a local event this past weekend at National Trails. Car did well, and I think I have her pretty well dialed in for this coming weekend. My first national event is this weekend at the Toledo Pro Solo, I hope to bring home some hardware....we will see..... Here is my fastest run from this past weekend which was good enough for 2nd in class and 2nd in PAX. Twas a very boost friendly course.... Class --> http://www.ovr-scca.org/uploads/ax_results/2014/06_fin_2014-06-21.htm PAX --> http://www.ovr-scca.org/uploads/ax_results/2014/06_pax_2014-06-21.htm
  8. Keep doing what makes you happy, bud. Thanks for being a mentor and helping me with LOTS of questions when I first started detailing. ...go spend some more time with that pretty wife of yours
  9. what the fuck is wrong with this country today?! He was twirling a fucking pencil?!
  10. Here's some on-track footage with Mike Skeen in a GT3. No armco or tire barriers at corner exits and other spots on the track is unacceptable. I'm sure if a guard rail were there this would have been a different story altogether. This track will need to have a good look at it's barriers before ALOT of people will set foot on this track again. Alot of these guys at Hyper fest are novices too, so they don't know any better when they come to a track for the first time. Really sad....
  11. the threadlocker will heat up before the bolt really expands enough. I work with threadlocker alot when removing VAG ECU's and you just need a little heat to get the threadlocker 'deactivated' Just lightly hover over the bolt for a couple seconds and then go away for a second and do that 5-6 times.....that should be enough to loosen the threadlocker without expanding the bolt too much. Worse that can happen is you wait for the bolt to cool. Also, with the head still on there, you could take a dremel tool and make a slot for a big, flat head screwdriver.
  12. Looking to get my Father-In-Law some binoculars for Father's Day and know nothing about them. Would like to stay around the $80ish price range. He has a condo on Lake Erie and will mainly be using these to keep on his boat. Maybe some bird watching. Any suggestions, and what should I look for or stay away from? Thanks!
  13. Not sure if commited, or should BE commited :dumb: Go big or go home, I guess...... I didn't spend all winter in the garage and the freezing effin' cold to have the car sit in the garage all summer :fuckyeah: Hopefully I can represent the region well this year.....I'll know more once we get a Pro Solo out of the way.....so, at the end of this month.....
  14. Ok, I am officially signed up for 2014 SCCA Solo Nationals! I went last year (first time), and co-drove another guys prepped E36, but hope to do better in my own car this year. They will be the first week of September this year in Lincoln, Nebraska at the Lincoln Airpark. Entry List (I'm 22 STX - Street Touring Extreme) --> https://www.motorsportreg.com/index.cfm/event/event.status/uidEvent/1985B83F-A293-5C58-59BC49CFD704E49F#class1-4A1D717D-93B9-33C0-33A0C72A5802F3C3 In the past few years, entries have been near the 1,200 mark. That number is expected to remain consistent, making the Solo Nationals the largest motorsports competition in the world. Can't wait! A few pics from last year:
  15. (4) BMW Contours - Style 23 5x120 2 - 17 x 7.5 2 - 17 x 8.5 Does include tires - Hankook Ventus V12 Evo Tires 245/40/17 (build date 4110 - 41st week of 2010) Some camber wear on inner edge of 2 tires, but rest of tread is in good shape. Wheels do have some curb rash and I have taken pictures of imperfections. These tires would be a great daily driver tire. Tire and wheels have always been stored in a heated basement. Not interested in separating wheels and tires. I can meet anywhere in Columbus or will ship at buyer's expense. $500 obo
