  1. Were you the one that spun in the sweeper after the first slalom and yelled out "FUCK!" ?

EDIT: Looking at the times, I think that was your co-driver. He yelled it so loud workers need corner 1 were laughing. :lolguy:

Haha, no that wasn't me, that was Gary. I got a little squirmy through there but held it together :fuckyeah:

Not on raw time. I had a 53.5 raw, fastest in the RTR class, but with PAX I got put into third. You would have beat me as well with PAX.

One of the black BMW's almost took us out on turn 4 in the morning, got us old folks movin pretty good.

This black BMW(in sig) ? :gabe: Yup that was Gary ^^

  3. E36 M3 in SMS, I ran a 49.9.

I'll post up a video tonight once I get home from work, if you want further comparison.

Draco, here's what I noticed from your vid:

@:27 way too wide of a line after the slalom, you're car (from what I've heard) rotates very nicely and you could have taken a tighter line there (you'll see on my vid when I post tonight)

@:39 too wide again, get in on that cone so you can let the car 'track out' more for the pinch cone

@:53 braking too early, carry a little more speed and try and get the car to rotate again for the pinch cone there too

heard you go to 1st for the 2 180's.....seemed like the car was really 'twitchy' and you may have been better off just keeping it in tight and 'just getting through' the finish.......

    My .02

  4. I thought so. Just wanted confirmation.

Can you IMAGINE the amount of kinetic energy that thing has on four tires going up that hill let alone exerting it all on 3 tires.

Here's a quick clip of it going up the hill and running into a guard rail :dumb:

Followed by Foley's crash again with the crowd response........

  5. Jeremy and Yuri were on the Today's Show this morning, will be Inside Edition tonight along with Piers Morgan at 9pm on CNN.......

  6. Good info, planning on the Stratusphere. Did they have the drop off the top when you went?

    You mean this? :gabe:

Nice leather seats to just sit inside, chill, and take in the sights. You can see the planes taking off and landing at the airport too.....shit you can see the whole city and well off in to the desert too.

  7. We stayed at Bill's Gamblin Hall and Saloon, which was actually pretty cool. This was the view from our room:

This is some overhead light show in 'old vegas' but I can't remember where it is

    Other mentions:

Open container is allowed anywhere on the Strip :fuckyeah:

If you can, go lay by one of the pools for the day (tits all over the place)

Hard to go wrong with all the restaurants

Ask your concierge about any places to check out, they are usually pretty good

Go see a Vegas Show, you can get 'discounted' tickets all over the place. We saw Jubilee.......if you want to stare at topless showgirls for about an hour and a half, go see this show :D

Don't expect to get much sleep, if you didn't wear a watch you wouldn't know the difference between 10pm and 4am based on the amount of people out and about.

+1 on taking only the amount of cash you want to gamble for the night and once it's gone, stop!

It's really hard not to have a good time, I could have just sat in one spot and people watched most of the time, Have fun!

  8. How to take an evo apart in less than :20

    They both lived too :fuckyeah:

They are actually from the Ohio Region......saw lots of activity for well wishes last night, and then the driver posted this to everyone:

I thought I posted already, but Yuri and I are ok. A little beaten up but nothing major. Thank you so much to everyone for the kindness and support! What a wonderful feeling to feel so loved!

  9. That's a pretty good deal. Not the most reliable Audi out there but if its been maintained I wouldn't be worried. Audi Allroad might be something to look at. Same engine, but its on the A6 platform so more room for you and the turbos, which means they tend to not fail as much due to better cooling. Adjustable ride height would be another cool bonus to the Allroad.

Something like this monster truck here:

  10. go A4 not S4 for a daily. particularly not a B5 S4 like the one you linked to. The 2.7 is not the most dependable platform.

The Silver B6 A4 wagon on Ohio Bimmers would be an outstanding daily diver if you ask me. Think he's down to like $10k now

I've daily driven my 1.8T A4 for the last 10 years, it acts as a work truck for me, despite all the Audi hatred it's been an outstanding car and extremely cheap to maintain and drive. Parts through ECS tuning up in cleveland are cheap and good. I've done my own timing belt services twice now and they're like $350 a pop to do yourself. Mine starts, runs, drives and functions properly every day with >210k on the clock now. I can count on one hand the number of times it's cost me more than a couple hundred bucks to fix something that's gone worng.

So you think that is a good find? Did you read through his diatribe of a post, is that all good or is most of it bullshit stuff?

  11. Looking for a new DD for the fam so I can park the M in the garage. Looking hard at an E46 or E39 Touring (Wagon).

I plan to keep this for at least a couple of years and would like to purchase one with under 100k miles.

Feel free to chime in on other wagons I should consider in this price range.

I have come across a couple of Audi Wagons that I would consider (A4. S4), can some of you Audi folks chime in on what I should look for or stay away from.

My budget is no more than $12k

Something like this, for example, should I consider it or run away:

    http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail.jsp?tracktype=usedcc&csDlId=&csDgId=&listingId=94263275&listingRecNum=4&criteria=prMx%3D13000%26sf1Dir%3DDESC%26prMn%3D0%26mkId%3D20049%26stkTyp%3DU%26bsId%3D20216%26rd%3D250%26crSrtFlds%3DstkTypId-feedSegId-bsId-pseudoPrice-mkId%26zc%3D43082%26rn%3D0%26PMmt%3D1-0-0%26stkTypId%3D28881%26sf2Dir%3DASC%26sf1Nm%3Dprice%26sf2Nm%3Dmiles%26isDealerGrouping%3Dfalse%26rpp%3D250%26feedSegId%3D28705&aff=criteo&listType=1

I know nothing about the dependability of Audi's.

    Thanks!

  12. If you don't mind spending a good chunk of change, I've heard great things about St. Elmos steak house in down town indy.

Also interested in more places to eat as I'll be there again in December.

Been to St. Elmo's a couple of times. If you like spicy shrimp cocktail, you must get it from there. Also the steaks are absolutely amazing.

It is not cheap, similar to eating at Smith and Wollenskys, Hyde Park, etc....
