I have seen a few people do that. I just picked up a complete running explorer motor for $175. What is the reliability with the stock cam and a boosted motor.

What power goal at what rpm?

 

Im looking to make close to 500 at the wheels and it would like to make peak power at or around 5500. My basic bolt on made power to 4900.

I am in the process of getting the parts i need to build my boosted 306, but i am at a stand still as to what camshaft to choose. I will be all dss internals with worked e7 heads gt40 intake and a on3 kit. I just cant figure out what cam will work since this is my first turbo build. Any input would help. Thanks.

the 2.3 turbo motors are a blast and the are a pretty bullet proof motor to begin with. the easiest way to make power with those is to get rid of the restrictive head and with a dohc volvo head. cut and rotate the intake 90' so its not running over the top of the motor. get a stinger 3'' down pipe, slap on a front mount and up the boost a little and you should have a fun low 13 sec car for cheap.ohhh and decent gas mileage. i have built one of these mine was a auto though and it was fun as hell.

the cop said it wasnt right to shoot it again. i offered to go get my gun and shoot it again but the cop wouldnt let me. i do have to say i was a little creeped out when the deer just looked at him. ohhh and the shot was right between the ears and went all the way out the other side.

so will the car actually be done for the first track day april 27th. Orrrrrrr will you not be able to run it since tirediscounters wasnt open to bolt on your light weight gto fronts.

we had one get hit a few weeks ago in front of our house and the cop shot it in the head and it turned and looked at him and lived for another half hour after.

The fz8 is really comfortable to ride and has decent power. I looked at buying one before i bought my truck. The price is very reasonable as well. Hope you ride the hell out of it.

Little do you know. As you seen I was building this car well before I recived va income that I totally forgot about, As far as the bike wreck being the only way I would got va benifits that's far from the truth,The max you can get per limb is 30%. I don't depend on the extra 3k/month to build this car but it sure helps

dirt devil mud tires you get great life and they are amazing in everything i have them on my quad and a buddy has them on his honda rancher 400 4x4 and it goes through anything.

Cap and rotor plus coil would be what i replace its cheap and easy. My blazer did the same thing and it was the coil breaking down.

That definitely required some new boxers when he made it back to the trailer.
