hal, how can you say you know anything about the cops that roll through there from time to time if you haven't been out to home depot? the cops come through sometimes just to make sure there is no stupid bullshit going on. I've talked to the cop a few times personally, more or less they are for kicks, not out of any kind of need. hell, one cop admited that he didn't care about the 270 pulls one time, he just said "no digs, and not when there is a ton of traffic". he was by the way referring to weather or not he would pull someone over, not speaking for other cops.

I was suggesting a last resort if he was in a pinch.

generally the people that go to hd are there just to kick it and have a good time. it was amusing at first, but there was someone there who had his young daughter there. kinda shitty she had to witness what she did, however rocky I believe handled it properly, if not just for the sake of the little girl. I'm glad nobody was seriously hurt. I'm sure those boys wont be back though, as they're ego's were probably pretty badly bruised.

what about using the air hammer with a chisel bit to try to split the lug. sometimes that works for the really stuck ones. if you have room though.

so everybody was chillin at hd, some 20ish kid comes up (holdin a bottle of something, I assume he was prolly drunk) askin who called him a wigger. nobody says they did, but the guy keeps goin on about it. guys friend walks up talkin about how the fight is going to be one on one or he is gonna whoop someones ass. he proceeds to brag about how well he can fight cause he has a black eye and he just got out of jail and he is from "the hilltop in the bottoms". so the second guy that walked up takes off his shirt and sneeks someone (I believe the guy with the blue civic with the unpainted hood, or one of his friends). a crowd starts forming and the two guys start talking even more shit to the entire crowd, swearing they were gonna whoop everyones ass (50+ people), and that they were from the west side, talkin bout makin that money, yet they get laughed out of hd and they drive away in a busted ass tracker or some shit with a couple hood rat lookin chicks. cliffs: 2 wiggers try to start a fight with anybody they can. one of the two guys hits another guy. threaten to beat up everyone in the parking lot. get laughed at so hard they leave. ps. I believe someone called 1 800 grab dui. wiggers... lol

if that was originally a 4 banger car you might want to look into frame ties. i have heard the frames arent as strong on the 4 cly ones. either way its a cool project.

when you turn the key off does the pressure drop quick? I'm thinkin it could possibly be a bad regulator and it could be running lean at high rpms.

interesting looking motor, i have never seen one out of the car either. i noticed you said you were putting a stroker crank in, how much displacement are you going for? also i noticed the case of the motor looks like it could be split in two, is that how the crank goes in, or are my eyes decieving me?

what did you end up doing with the hood, replace, repair or put on a scoop or something? i see a few with a cowl put on and they look okay. just curious to see how this turns out.

I had a 92 rs. it had a 305 and a 5 speed. it was fun, but I'm building a sbc for an rx7 now cause of the weight savings. though, I'm thinkin one of these days ima get me a 4 speed second gen. it would be lots of fun with a bbc.

I made it at my brother in laws house. I forgot to get sugar at the store, so I used what they had. turned out really well. next time I wanna do the proper recipie though.

is the compressor running too or just the fan? the fan should be on a temp switch I believe (for just the condenser, seperate from the t-stat inside). idk if the temp switch may be adjustable, if not it is possibly bad. disclaimer: I'm going off of how the company I work for builds them. the company I work builds them for industrial purposes and for server rooms and such. I know there are many differances from a home air conditioner. I'm just trying to give you something to look for and a possible starting point.

I'm trying my hand at making it tonight. I couldn't find apple cider, so I'm trying to make it with apple juice (one gal), cinnamon sticks (6), sugar (~1 cup), and the everclear (~1 qt.). ill boil it for about an hour and see how it comes out when it cools. smells just like apple pie though.
