How helpful is a trans jack when you are putting a trans back in? I have never used one but I have tried to use a regular jack (or two) to try to level a trans to put it on. I have always had better luck just lifting the bitch myself to line it up.

Grant's car is 1jz swapped and the po did a hackjob on the wiring iirc. If you can confirm the work was done by a reputible shop then, for me it would not be a deal breaker.

I had a 02 X-type years ago. Loved the car until it needed work. It seemed that once something electronic quit working, everything electronic quit working (mind you this car was well within the Ford era). I love Jaguars, but I will likely never own another.

How expensive is stainless tubing in the sizes you need? You could run that most of the length of the car to possibly save some money and have a flexible line running to the tank and fuel rail.

For me, something that can haul the entire family. I like the idea of a Nomad with a modern drive train. I figure it would be awfully hard to tour the country in a car if the car is electric. Unless you are imagining so far into the future that the electric range is very long and charge time is very short.

My brother and I just saw his old car at the Sonic meet last week. He was just talking about how he missed the car and wanted another because the one we were looking at looked good (lowered with different rims now) then he got to looking at it and it was his old car. I see a couple of his old ones floating around on Ohio dsm occasionally as well. My brothers first car though was something of a rare car, we see it come up on craigslist now and again.

What about a reman? I am sure most major part stores would be able to get a hold of a reman engine.

Would a sheetmetal cover work? I can get 10 or 12 gauge sheetmetal here at work and possibly have some holes punched in it.

Mcir is $10 to run as many times as you can get to the line. Not the greatest track but you can usually get a bunch of runs in in one night.
