I agree, I have met a few from the site and most are pretty cool (at least in person lol). There are others on the site though that I feel have judged me solely by what I have posted and have no care or desire to meet me (not that I really care, just making a point). That could be what some are seeing and maybe why they are feeling this way, the fact that some take the internet way too serious. Others that have never been on the site yet have no desire to join I have met at car meets. A lot of word of mouth has driven them away and (at least when I started coming to the meets at home depot) there used to be a group of cr members that just kinda kept to themselves on the other side of the lot, not seemingly interested in meeting new people, which I have a certain understanding for based on the fuckery that went on (and progressively got worse). Though other members walked around and socialized with just about everyone, so it seems it is, ironically, just a stereotype.

Something I have heard people say in the past: People on CR seem to be elitist pricks. Not saying I am of this opinion, but I have talked to more than a few that are of that opinion.

Not sure how to help. In the modern world we prefer indoor plumbing.

I actually kind of forgot all about this. While I am not saying I am not interested, I have transfered back to the maintenance department at work and I actually enjoy my job again. That said, I wouldn't be opposed to checking out this job if they can beat what I am getting paid now. Do you have any Idea what the starting pay would be or what the top out pay would be (and how long it would take to get there)? You can pm me if you like.

The electric car idea seems like a good idea to me. The Leaf seems to have a couple cool features, one of which is that it can power your house for a while if the power goes out. Also it seems to have a pretty decent range, more than 100 miles on a full charge iirc (guy at work daily drives one from marysville to worthington and back everyday, he says he enjoys driving it almost as much as his 2010 corvette grand sport).

But they could manufacture the car so it would be available with all three transmissions...

If it were me (roughly the same expirence as you) I would take the scenic route over a few days if I could. Otherwise, I would trailer it.

I found this very amusing yet true. I would understand if they took away the third pedal for the DCT (I wouldn't like it, but I would understand), but hocking it for a slushbox is just blasphemy.

I was looking at getting a bike from out of state recently, when I called the bmv they said they wanted a notorized bill of sale as the title from that state didn't need notorized.

Does the factory 10 bolt have an offset pumpkin? I believe the Exploder 8.8 does.

If I were to do something like this it would be because you could grab any part you need for the swap off the donor car then make some of your money back by parting out the rest.
