I don't know how I would handle something like this also. I wish the best to you and your family. -
Point taken. Thank you.

What transmission and gear is in it?

According to The Apache, you have your words in the wrong order.

After a while you'll save so much money you can tell everyone at your work that lunch is on you. DOLLAR MENU FOR EVERYONE!!!!! WOOHOOO!!!!!!! LOL

No matter what you decide to bring or buy, you will eventually get burnt out if you do it all the time. I try to always make dinner for 3 (2 of us at home) and pack my lunch portion first. Then we eat the rest. That also helps to keep you from eating too much dinner later in the day. Or so I hope anyway. Sometimes you just get a taste for something and that's ok too. Just be mindful of what you order and how much it cost's.

I'm not a huge fan of the Black and tan. I see they have other varieties, so I'll try those too. I'm not a connoisseur by any means. I drink Miller or Budwieser because that's esually what people have at parties and such. All in all to each his own.

That would definetly be a cool car. Than again anything tubbed is cool. -
Also, those 243 heads have all new OEM valves and seals plus you put all new pushrods with the heads and cam. The new motor is out of a 1998 T/A that has 55000 miles. The only reason it was pulled was to make way for the SLP 402. The block was oiled and preped for storage by shrink wrap and and bagged.

About that original motor...

Wat condition are the tires in?

Does the torque arm have to stay with the car? If not, I'd like to get that from you. How much if so? -
No big deal really. I'll take it off and just redo it again myself. I don"t know if I want to go 5% again though.

So last night on the way home im talking away on the cell phone when I see the flashing lights in my rear view. I know I wasn't speeding because it was raining. When the cop walks up and says the usaual speel and asks me if I know why he pulled me over I naturally said no. He says it's because of "failure to display" my front plate. I kinda chuckled and said it is displayed in the front, windshield that is. He smiled and said it doesn't belong there. I said my car doesn't have a provision for it. He told me it goes in place of the panel that says "firebird". First of all, it doesn't say anything. I have a Trans Am so it has a picture of the bird. Anyhow he then says he is going to test my window tint. Thats when I started adding up how much this is going to cost! When he tests the tint it comes back @ 2%!!! He offers me a deal. I can get a ticket for one and a warning for the other. Which one do I want the ticket for??? Hmmmmm, I guess I'll take the ticket for the tint. When he comes back to my car he says since I've been very cooperative he will give me a break. He wrote me a warning for the front plate and a "repair order" for the tint. I have 5 days to remove the tint or he will issue me a citation via the mail.

Cutlass was a 10.700 @ 126.49 Trans Am was a 13.19 @108.something

Very true.

There"s a guy that races on Wednesday nights that has a 93 coupe. He runs a 347 and an 8.8 with a spool a shifts an all stock T5. The cars runs 11.70's and drives home. You have way more power then he does, but with street tires you won't ever hook so I don't see a problem. If you do by slicks or drag radials you're going to need aftermarket axle's. An 8.8 is a super tuff rear end that Ford put itty bity 28 spline axles in from the factory. Ford feels breaking an axle is better then breaking a tranny.

My apologies for the constant CAPS LOCK.

I'D SAY SELL THE CAR AND TELL THE NEW OWNER THERE IS A PROBLEM AND THEN GET A "NEW TO YOU" CAR.

NOT YELLING. JUST HAPPY :-)

All this talk about rediculous insurance rates makes me wanna call up my carrier and thank them. Full coverage on my T/A and liability/under/uninsured/property damage on my dually with a $500.00 deductible is $207.00 every six months. Gotta love a clean driving record and a CDL.

THAT SUCKS!!!! HELLO TO JACKED UP INSURANCE RATES!!!!!!
