  1. The system would see that as some kind of a validation that the car drove just fine without the existence of TPMS sensors. The method works on C6 too, allowing the stability control to be turned off in the absence of TPMS sensors. Foil on my head would have done nothing regardless of material.
  2. Try this. Take out all TPMS sensors and don't let the car sense them (wrap them in aluminum foil or any metal enclosure). Drive for 50 miles without stopping. However, TPMS sensors are much cheaper nowadays.
  3. CONGRATULATIONS! I know exactly how it feels. Any story from the oral test?
  4. I'm so sorry to hear that. None of my, so-called, friends are on CR.
  5. Welcome on board, John. I'm in Westerville as well, near the Hoover Reservoir.
  6. It's now a standard MO with this group of dealerships. It started a few months ago.
  7. There is a place near downtown that can rebuild the alternator if you didn't mind waiting for a few hours. It was cheaper to rebuild and upgrade the alternator for an '85 Corvette.
  8. It would look even better with HRE wheels ... Does it come with RPO G80?
  9. I remember admiring the craftsmanship, but the engineering aspect was a bit lacking.
  10. Clay, how does your friend like the '14 GC? Does it have a V6 or a V8?
  11. On a different note, how good is that floor jack? I've been thinking about getting one but unsure. Does the low saddle height help with low ground clearance?
  12. Now, don't look at me if you managed to spring an idea for a set of HREs for a Jeep ...
  13. Clay is cool now? Since when?
  14. Might want to address the U-joints very soon. I had that noise on my old '3 and it was caused by one (or more) cracked trunnion.
  15. My buddy does mobile paint correction (including glass coating), but Pittsburgh is probably too far since he's based in Dayton. He stays at my house (Westerville) when he does freelance work in Plain City. The Cobra is probably more of his line of work, especially if it also needed paint protection film.
  16. Well, I have access to scrap metal. Do you want aluminum or steel?
  17. Most car dealerships buy used cars outright. My place of work buys cars too and they have bought my '16 GMC Sierra for more than CarMax offered. The idea that one had to buy another car from the dealer when selling an old one to the dealer was probably stemmed from the same mindset that a Z71 optioned GM truck has to be a 4WD.
  18. Excellent! If you needed copper and aluminum, let me know.
  19. Do you still have CCWs?
  20. Can't go, gotta stay home now. Sorry.
  21. GM full-size pickup trucks are on huge incentive right now.
