  1. Im a little new to the ls1 stuff and was curious where the return fitting can go. I want to try the turbo out first and see if we have it high enough to not run a scavenge pump. Ideal placement for the return fitting in my case would be the driver-side of the pan. If anyone could shed some light on where I should put the fitting, it would be much appreciated I have not had the pan off the car and just want to be sure there isnt any interference areas
  2. I wouldnt mind heading out, let me know if you do go. Dan it would be 1/4
  3. Are all tables in the poker room right now no limit or are there limit tables?
  4. sorry I have been sick and trying to get caught up with work. Its a 2500, long bed, 2wd Ill try and get the pictures up tomorrow still
  5. Ill get photos up tomorrow, the truck is not pretty and has been used. Runs and starts up great, newer rebuilt trans from Jasper the previous owner claims. I didnt get paperwork to back up his claim but he did have some(Im an idiot and left it there). 285k miles, standard cab, automatic ISSUE: The truck does not have a belt on it and the pulley's all have a lot of build up in them. I threw a belt on it and it started to walk off the pulley and shut the truck down. Not clearly sure if its just grime in the pulley or if there is another underlying cause. TRUCK IS SOLD AS IS Im not open for trades and Im not negotiable. Im going to start doing turbo setups for these trucks and Ill leave it sit out back and just use for parts if I have to. Anyone interested let me know, Ill try and get some photos up tomorrow
  6. anthony you going to head out and make any passes
  7. copper rtv works great, I use it all the time instead of wastegate gaskets or turbo flange gaskets. Generally when I will pull the turbo off, the housing is literally stuck to the flange and will have to be tapped on a few times to free it from the flange. Not sure if Ill be in the shop at all this weekend but if I do stop in, I can possibly help you out with the drain gasket
  8. LS would be cool, cummins swap would be baller though. Put sidepipes on it and just blow dirt everywhere you go
  9. Im making just a hair under 570 wheel and right around 6#'s. I cannot get the car to 60', thats the main problem right now. Also they are bitching about going under the 11.5 mark so Im sure Ill just get a pass or two tonight. I just really want to see if I can figure out the best way to leave the line before going to a new converter.
  10. Its been a really long project and just fun to finally get it out and start enjoying it. Here are a few shots of the car: http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj77/on3p/DSC05937.jpg http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj77/on3p/DSC05940.jpg
  11. Im going to try and get there just a bit earlier I think, I was calling it close and want to have a little time to cool down. If you are heading out, shoot me a text tomorrow
  12. I should be back out again and try to make a few more passes with my twin turbo 2011 5.0
  13. Randy is a good guy, same thing he had me do a few years back when I was just getting a welder setup. He generally will match about any filling price you can find. Air gas gave me a much better price and he matched it without thinking twice

Im only on around 6psi right now so we will see where the car is tonight hopefully. Who knows I might be able to run it just where it sits and have some fun. Anyone else on here racing true street?
  15. Cool, I think there is a few of us going out. No matter what Ill be there

I want to keep it together but don't get me wrong, I will. I want to get a few shake down passes, its been a really long project. So I want to really just see where we stand on low boost and work our way up from there. When we decide to turn it up, I'm going to see about getting Brady from Pickups Plus to come along to log and watch over everything. Its quick the way it sits right now, I cannot imagine a built engine and adding 10 or so #'s. This car would be flat out insane Im sure this winter depending on how things go Ill work on getting it legal for the times I'd like to run and possibly build the engine. Mainly I just want to show people for the time being what the car can be capable in stock form. Its will get interesting Im sure
  17. You thinking about going to the track tomorrow still?
  18. Not sure what came out of my 8.8 either when I built it but I have the 28 spline diff and 3.73 gear. Ill check and see what that one was, I'd be up for just offers on that
  19. There is a guy on corral that sells brand new units with upgraded clutches for either $200-250. Thats where I got my 31 spline diff, if you want his info Ill look it up for you. Dont know what your looking to spend or if you just were looking for something cheaper and used

Sorry for not making it clear, Im 99% sure it will go quicker than 11.50 and I know they won't let that fly. It will pass tech no problem and it would make the drive from here to CA if I had to. I just really don't want to put any sort of a cage in the car yet

Ill be there hopefully with the 2011 twin turbo 5.0 I just finished and maybe my 4v swapped single turbo notch. I would like to run true street with the 11 but Im worried it might go too quick
  22. If this is the same twin setup Im thinking, I was in staging next to the guy a year or two ago. It was a turbo hp twin setup, underhood mounted and said it made just a 900 to the wheel on race gas. I know that car was a built motor car though so maybe its not the same guy but looks like it
  23. I would imagine it should be in the mid 600's through the auto. Thats pretty common from what I have seen on ls1tech so far with similar built setups. We have an 88mm that should be here in October to start testing with. So by winter if we need to help get more power out of the combo, that should take him into serious power territory :-)
  24. I have to look, I know I had one as well if the first one falls though
