  1. I'm getting old but 15 years ago when I was at Columbus State they would let you audit a class and they have/had a lot of night classes. CSCC, Hondros and Franklin will all be cheaper and flexible than OSU. Try to sit in on some accounting, finance and marketing classes. Once you get the basics, it's pretty straight forward. IT is good and knowing how to use office is a must. You also have to decide if you want to sit behind a desk or are able to stare at a screen all day everyday. Lastly, stay far away from the railroad. My dad was a carman and supervisor at N/S for 30 years. His health is not good and most people get so beat down they go disability before retirement. Good luck.
  2. When I had my vasectomy, several years ago I definitely shopped around and asked for referrals. My doctor did a great job. Just ask my newborn son. Kidding on that last part. I went into the ER for an appendectomy and didn't have a lot of options. The docs played hurry up and wait and didn't do surgery until the next day. Apparently it wasn't bad enough yet. The worst part was fighting Riverside after they billed me for six doses of a drug I am allergic to. I finally had to say take it off my bill or I'm going to get a lawyer and sue for attempted murder since it made my throat close up. After dealing with insurance BS after my kids were born and various injuries, the bills and insurance were always the worst part. If you can talk to a human, call the your insurance companies and compare what they will pay with your doc ahead of time. Get any necessary referrals and always keep records of who you talk to and their contact info. Good luck.
  3. After for cruises and get togethers would get my vote. I get up early everyday and enjoy my mornings with the kids. For parking let's keep it open. The random grandma in a Buick driving through staring at the young hollogans, just give us something else to smile about. Thanks Clay.
  4. A slight tangent but a couple books which mentally may help for this situation are: After You Shoot by Alan Korwin. In the Gravest Extreme by Massad Ayoob. Both are very good and offer advice for what can happen depending on what situation you end up in. I have Derek's number programmed into my phone but I also want to know what to do or not do if God forbid I am put in a bad situation. Chances are you will talk to a LEO or 911 operator before a lawyer. No one wants to make a bad situation worse by saying something that can lead to charges or a lawsuit.
  5. Thank you for the kind words Scott. A gentleman picked it up a few minutes ago. Please lock it up.
  6. I have finally replaced my old Acura TL. It needs work but would be a good beater with a heater (including butt warmers). The craigslist link is below for the full description and more photos. I did not put in on CL but I would consider partial trades for firearms if anyone is interested. I am asking $1,300 but feel free to make an offer. Thanks David 614-216-0567. http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/IMG_0196_zpsaqag1pww.jpg http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/5381206007.html
  7. Elections have consequences. Eventually folks will realize that. Merry Christmas to the criminals who will now have a larger group to pray on.
  8. A few months ago I was at Nortons Sporting Goods on the north side of Delaware and they had several used shotguns at very good prices. If you don't mind the drive, it's a neat little gun store. Then after you guy it go across 23 and shoot some clays.
  9. Damn you PSA! I said I didn't want to buy anything this year.
  10. The 64 gb. My wife found a decent deal at Cosco. They were $150 off.
  11. Anyone seen any IPad deals? That is going to be our xmas present to each other this year. Thx
  12. Absolutely. Worse case, if the wife doesn't like the Lincoln, it's big enough to live it. Seriously yes.
  13. My mom has a 2009. It's very nice and has the tried and true 3.8 v6. It rides great but is not sporty. Gas mileage is about what you would expect for a full size Buick.
  14. Leeds is great and has lots of activities for kids besides just pumpkins. We go every years and our kids love it.
  15. I've been on CR for a couple years now and have really enjoyed it. I have met some great folks and made some new friends. While I don't make cars and coffee very often it's a ton of fun. From a posting stand point, I post what I know. I would like to race but my car is slow and looks much better sitting still. I don't know autox and a lot of the in depth tech stuff is over my head. I read them but most times I don't have anything to add so I stay quiet. I don't insult just to insult so I keep out of those. The current, especially local news and get togethers are important to build community and keep new folks coming to the site. While cars are obviously the primary hobby that brings everyone together, the wide range of skills and knowledge help each other. I don't think getting rid of everything non-car is a good idea. Thanks to the mods and keep up the good work.
  16. So since its was a rainy cold morning I stopped by Crosshairs Tactical today to see what they were all about. I spoke with the owner and designer Greg who was very nice and took a lot of time with me. Its a warehouse in which the owner sets up different courses with reactive targets. Gun choices are either a full size Glock or Beretta 92. The guns are real and have been modified to accept special ammo. When you shoot the targets, they register a hit and fall. The courses only take a few minutes but its neat and I don't know anywhere else that offers anything like it. Prices range from $10 to $30 but can change anytime depending on how the courses are laid out. The website is below. http://crosshairsshooting.com
  17. Junk yard? Edison's or You Part It would probably have what you are looking for.
  18. Make sure the Flex will fit if you have a single car garage. It's wide.
  19. We really looked at the Toyota and Honda. In the end, honda had a nicer interior and the spare tire is inside instead of underneath. We have had our 2011 Odyssey now for 2 years and love it. Good luck.
  20. Call bulk pick up and they will take it. Or ask the local high school kids where they go. I'm sure they could always use an extra mattress.
