  1. What's bison chili like?
  2. It's been a few years but I think we paid about 3k for our house to be painted. There were thee colors between the house, shutters and porch. Depending on who pays for the paint...would determine how much cash to kick in. Good luck.
  3. TPIS.com used to be pretty good. Hawksthirdgenparts.com can do it too. Also check out thirdgen.org as it's for 82-92 Camaro and firebird. There are a lot of tuning tweaks that can be done without the computer like adjusting sensors, fuel pressure etc. Good luck.
  4. A guy at work just got rid of his 07 for that reason. About 120k a lot of stuff went bad so he got a newer one. He loves the new one with the 2.0t.
  5. Katz tires sold me two cupped tires and were crappy about it. I wont go there again.
  6. I watched the whole thing. I've always been worried if I looked directly at her, I would turn the stone. It was funny enough, it was worth the risk.
  7. I currently have a 2013 Accord Sport thats 4 cly and 6mt. It's definitely not fast but it moves out well and I get 36 mpg at 70 on the highway. Since I get paid for driving its paying for itself every month. Great cars and in your budget.
  8. John Browning says don't sell it. Just check prices. Aim has been importing a lot of beat up ones for $400-$500. I have seen new for $800+. Good luck
  9. Congrats. When I was growing up, my neighbor had two, red and white. Plus I can't look at these cars and not think of the original Police Accademy movie. I still laugh when Bubba Smith rippes out the front seat to sit in the back.
  10. Austin, I rotated tires on the wife's odyssey and now it pulls to the right pretty bad. Tires have maybe a year or so left. Is it "worth" it to have it aligned or could the tires be the root cause? Thx
  11. Cough cough....assuming she doesn't die first.
  12. That's surprising. I have ordered from them for years and they have been great. I'll text you as I'm curious for details.
  13. Drive down to Middletown and buy this... http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=F1ANM4OPTIC&utm_source=AIM+Surplus+Main+List&utm_campaign=a62295c270-090220169_1_2016&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_6870497a6a-a62295c270-18212953
  14. My vote would be the black 68 Cutlass. Sorry I don't have any cars to add.
  15. How do you break a Mosin? OP: Is it a hex or round receiver? What is the build date?
  16. I agree with the multiple opinions but disagree about the vanity part. We got 2 opinions. The biggest factor for us was my daughter had one tooth coming in through the gum in front of another tooth. Every kid is different but it was either fix it now or fix it later. Either way it was going to cost a lot and suck for her. It wasn't long before her teeth went crooked which goes to show the pressure teeth can put on each other. Our hope was doing the expanders and braces now will make the rest of her teeth come in straighter and not have as many issues later.
  17. Wipe all your fingerprints off it and take out the firing pin. Go down to Linden and tie some fishing line through the trigger guard. Then leave it on the ground. As soon as an interested party tries to grab it, pull the string and watch the fun commence.
  18. What brand is it? There were a bunch of Jennings/Davis/Bryco versions. The whole family and ring of fire gun story is interesting. Some of the older ones maybe worth $100-$150 due to a cult following or sentimental attachment. If it's newer maybe. $50-$75? Good luck
  19. Clay, Nice timing. My daughter is now 9. She is a petite girl and last year one of her teeth started coming in over her baby teeth. So snagle tooth-like. We took her to the ortho and she ended up having both upper and lower palate expanders put in. They did their thing and when there was more space, her teeth started going crooked. Apparently that is very common and why they usually go straight from palate expanders to braces. My girl got pretty blue braces put on last week. She will have them for the next +\- 2 years. In total we have spent about $3k and we will pay $150/month until the braces are off. It sucks but at least for my daughter it seemed necessary. Of course today, she chipped a tooth at a birthday party:mad:
  20. Very cool Howard. I know how much I learned just doing that league at the Bullet Ranch. Looks like a lot of fun and great training.
  21. I did a lot of research and everyone says lead is bad but there are a lot of conflicting opinions on the fumes and exposure. I am erring on the side of caution. I have a respirator ($20 from HF) and a set of welding gloves. Plus I always wear safety glasses. I am doing it in my garage with the door open. Melting down the wheel weights is nasty as all the paint, road grime, oil etc is cooking off and smells horrible. I have a fan going but far enough away so it doesn't cool the lead. So far none of my neighbors think I'm cooking meth. Now you can't even have a cheese slice in the shape of a gun in school. I don't know yet. I have seen where you can spray paint and bake them or roll them in powder coating from HF and bake them. Either way I would need another toaster oven so I don't piss off my wife. I'm just going to keep the velocity low for now while I'm learning. Thanks
  22. Thanks Joe and Chris my set up is pretty basic. I have a Coleman propane camping stove to melt the wheel weights in a cast iron skillet. Once everything is liquid, I skim off the clips and start fluxing the lead to clean it. After a few times, I pour the liquid into cheap muffin trays from the thrift store. When I go to cast, I have the Lee 10 pound pot to remelt the lead. Then I flux it again and skim off anymore drouse. I heat the molds over the pot for a few minutes and start casting. The first few bullets get thrown back in as they won't cast right until the mold is hot enough. Once they look good, they get dumped into a bucket of water to quench and harden them. In total I probably have about $250 in the set up. But from here on all I would need are molds for other calibers which are about $20.
  23. I have been able to get a lot of lead mostly old wheel weights for a minimal cost. I don't factor my time. There is no point. Once the kids go to bed, I fool around in my free time. Plus it's cool to take something that's going to be thrown away and turn it into something cool. LEPD is where I go the most and they are fine as long as I used brass cased ammo.
  24. So I have been reloading for a couple years and decided to try casting. I've been accumulating a stash of wheel weights which are a good starting point. A big thanks to North End and Lucore to helping with the cause. Below is one trip. http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsadtdxfox.jpeg After sorting out just the lead, I melted them down into ingots. http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsquleitrf.jpeg Then onto a 10 pound Lee pot. So far I have cast 45acp, 357 Mag and 9mm. http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpse2jznunr.jpeg That turned into this. I went a little overboard on the bullet lube on the 357. http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsimcnfhaq.jpeg And finally, here are a couple 357 and 45 loaded up ready for the range. http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsfk8agwee.jpeg Thanks for reading. If anyone else is casting, feel free to critique.
