  1. Glad you got to spend time with him, my father died when he was 51 in a accident. I was the typical young cocky kid who didn't call enough or spend time when I could. I have regretted it forever. I promised myself I would be a better dad than I was a son. Been true to my word. Captain Panic, not for sure what the situation is, as sometime there is nothing you can do. But give it another shot or at least forgive him for not being what you expected.
  2. Shitzu, great lap dogs, but extremely protective, don't yap all the time but will create a stink if someone try's to enter.
  3. Have you looked at the Supercharger maps lately? By the end of the year, you should be able to drive to most areas for free. Superchargers charge in less than 30 minutes, i just hit one yesterday and got 203 miles of charge in 22 minutes. Oh, and its free.
  4. I concur, who wants that trash sponsoring anything. Last I heard, Paul accepts multiple sponsors, in trade for services or for $250. Last year Ella traded him some meals to be on the page and host an event. Not looking to turn a profit, but with some funding you could pass out shirts or swag to the nicest car of each week....
  5. I figured, since Kevan has lunch with the owners every week........well they must be Ok. Get them to sponsor you guys too!
  6. You need to have an event at the new Studio 47, it was bought out by the mechanic Craig and a partner, and has moved. It might make a great event location or for a cruise.
  7. Its easy, i have done a ton of them and never had training. I can talk you thru it, but I have a birdog ultra that takes some if the guesswork out of it, but you dont need it. All the signal meters are in your reciever and do the job. I installed them on all my barns and just move the receiver there when I needed. Once yiur recieve is active, it does not care where it lives. Meaning you can have several recivers at $5.00 per month used at different locations.
  8. Without seeing it live, it looks like about a 5000 lb trailer. I would haul most cars (3000-4000lbs) but not much more with it. Should be fine for what you plan to use it for.
  9. Most of the Lambos coming and going, are a old friend of his from Pittsburgh, other than him...no one in their right mind would trust that place or him. Now he is supposedly a Tesla tuner.....the joke just gets better.
  10. Very similar to the Model S, the cost of developing technology is keeping it high until the new battery factory is started in the USA. Shipping those heavy current technology batteries is expensive and Elon cant control the cost. There is new battery technology on the way, lighter, longer lasting and less expensive.
  11. Teslas are still relatively expensive. But you do need to do the math on fuel costs and fluid changes and maybe it is not so far out of reach. Figure 15000 miles driven annually, that at 18mpg avg is 833 gallons of gas @ lets say $4.00 avg per gallon assuming fluctuation. That is $3300 of fuel costs, add in 2-3 oli changes at another $150-200, for a total cost of $3500 annual. If you drove the same milesn a Tesla and assuming all the charging is done at home, you would spend about $500 in electricity, a $3000 annual savings. Use that $3000 each year to pay down your car and that is at least $15-18k rive reduction. Keepn mind you get a $7500 tax credit up front. That is a total prvie reduction of $22.5k- 25.5k. Do you like funding the oil companies or your car with those annual costs? Now keep in mind that the Model E will be out in 18-24 months with a price tag of about $40k, but dont expect a huge tax credit on that one.
  12. I have some space available in my car barn, it is. Club membership with storage: Man Cave: Philosophy: New Albany is home to many avid car collectors who either have run out of space or would prefer to keep their prized possessions in another climate controlled facility rather that tie up expensive real estate at their homes. Since the downturn of the economy many investor have found that investing in classics is a reliable way to protect their cash and enjoy it at the same time rather than invest in unpredictable Wall Street investments that they have no control over the volatility. What is the New Albany MotorPlex all about? An array of features and services await you and your vehicles. Collector Car to Race Cars, Classics to Motorcycles, RV's, Boats and even Helicopters... it is where enthusiasts gather. It is called a MotorPlex because this site offers it owners a wide array of features and services. The problem: * Garage space limits me on the number of vehicle my wife/HOA allows me to have. * I dread having my special car used as a bicycle stand by my kids * I dread all the wasted time waiting for routine maintenance at the mechanic shop * I dread having to tow my race car across town to my specialist mechanic * Heated storage is hard to find especially in floor heat ( anyone who works on a car know why this is important) * I like hanging out with other enthusiasts like me and meet other enthusiasts that enjoy my hobby * I like showing off my prized positions (cars, motorcycles, boat, collection of WWII airplane parts) * I like to have a place to hang out to watch the F1 race * I'd like to check in on my stored vehicles without having to go there (web cam) * Rental places don't seem to have the kind of security that I'm expecting. The solution: * Build a destination place that brings together people with automotive/motorsports interests. Some place that we can hang out and even conduct business meetings in the clubhouse. Some place where the mechanics come to us. Some place to have our race cars prepped for the season. A protected museum and a place that has all of the security that makes me feel at ease in storing my collection (individual units, sprinklers, in-floor heat, individual web cams, and facility security cameras). * A place to have an annual series of car shows. An extensive library of automotive history and reference materials. A place to make it easy for people to enjoy their vehicles.
  13. I have both, but if I could only have one......it would be a compact tractor. You can do so many things with it and a zero turn does one thing, mow. I have a 72" mower deck a would sell cheap if you get one. I have a airator, a fertilizer spreader, a bucket , a tiller, etc. you will not regret it.
  14. Get some pool shock, mix it with water, spray it on with a tank sprayer and hose off. Works great.
  15. I officially will never buy from Germain and Ricart ever again.
  16. Might have some MN ones, will look
  17. Probably cheaper to get a universal remote and program it from Radio Shack
