Yes to the 3.13 rear gear. No to the 4th being 1:1 From Wiki

My car was featured today on 2jzpower.com Check out the article if you want more of the "back story" http://2jzpower.com/features/chris-miller

If you saw the corrosion on the bodies, you would understand how quickly they would laugh and send me home empty handed. I try to be stand up with them. They have lots of ways to catch people pulling a fast one so they have several ways to catch the dishonest folks.

Not with Pro-efi My engine has fail safe methods if it sees fuel pressure dropping. :fuckyeah:

After the car died in the water box at the shootout, I was extremely confused what happened. Turns out, my luck is as terrible as it ever has been. The first stage fuel pump died mid burnout... yes in the middle of a burnout, causing the car to not be able to idle/start. Pushed the car back to the pits a broken and sad guy. The odd part was I drove the car all around the pits that morning. Drove the car over to buy a tech card, and to get air in the tires.. even drove down the staging lanes and all the way to the water box. I guess its just bad timing. Got home and tore into it last night to diagnose the pump actually being dead, and It still boggles my mind. Ordered a new pump from Summit and it should be here today. Hope to have the car back up and running by this weekend.

I will try my best to save you a spot. If you just drive the car im sure we can squeeze you in. If you bring a truck and trailer, we will have to try to work something out. I will PM you my phone number so you can text me. I don't have yours. -

Cant wait to see you run at the shootout this weekend! If you want to Pit with me and the group of Y-town folks, feel free to do so. We will be at the gates right as they open. Hope to get a spot track side with an outlet just past the bleachers. -
40 micron paper filter after the pumps. Pre pump I have socks on the continuous duty pumps.

While crawling under the car, I found some issues on the diff/diff cover. There was a small dribble of fluid coming out, and the one bolt was stripped. I pulled the diff and helicoiled the 2 bottom holes plus cleaned up others. Doing a fluid swap and it should be back in soon.

Working on adding the bigger pump. Utilizing my existing hoses, I am plumbing it all in... Fuel filter looked great, so I left it in. It is a paper filter but with good flow out all sides and looking brand new. I was fearful the filter would be trashed after 2 years of E85, but it looked in good working order. Only thing left to do is get a couple different fittings and punch a hole in the bottom of the stock tank.

Yeah, but being competitive is fun as well. The original goal was 8.99 in a 6 speed. I still am trying to find ways to get there. With a 1.50 60' its definitely time to add more power. I have the car in pieces right now. Differential is out, big fuel system changes going in, and hopefully I can get it all together to shake down next Wednesday at street night on the 5th. We shall see what happens!

Diff is a strange spool and dss axles. I'm not concerned one bit about its health unless I just completely drop the clutch. Pretty depressing that I'm nearing the wall at my current power level. I'm sure I would be ET-ing lower if I still had the 80mm on the car. Basically I'll try short shifting it more in first and make sure I have a good full bottle next trip out... which will probably be norwalk. My fear is using up the clutch as that is the high wear item. As far as the current setup, I'm thinking mid nines would be a pretty decent sorted pass for the car. Unfortunately that's competitive in zero racing events lol

I was at Quaker's street night. No videos, but I have a slip. Depressingly, I don't think its going to get a lot faster until I get the new fuel pump on the car. Ran a 10.15 last time at street night in June. Last night I did 10.04 off the trailer (Slip below on spray) and 10.36 after that. Bottles were low and the N20 did not arm on the second pass. Neither were very clean passes, however the car is leaving better. 2-3 shifting is no problem. Dialing in the launch is proving difficult as expected.

Since I had an E-fan die on me, I went out and got 2 fresh ones and installed them. Hoping to test them out tonight at the track!

Here is a little history of the car and its old owners.... I love knowing the history of it back to the 90's. Top photo is how she sits today. Bottom left is from Dave Henry when he owned it in the 90s-early 2000s. Beau Mancini owned this car for a brief moment in the mid 2000s. Rob Dougherty owned it from mid 2000s until I bought it in Dec 2012.

Routine maintenance time. Pulled the catch can and drained it for the first time this year... that is a gallon simply lemonade jug to give you an idea. The can was a little over half full. I cant complain for a full motor break in, several dyno pulls and a few track passes. Belly pan had all kinds of little drips and dirt that had gathered. Pulled out the old mothers power ball and some wheel cleaner to get it back to show car status. Still need to inspect the clutch and swap out coolant for water/water wetter additive, then she will be ready to go back racing on 7/22!

No doubt. Have to pay to play with the big boy parts. Nothing is "cheap and reliable" at big power levels. Thanks man. I am trying to make it look decent for a 22 year old flood wagon.

all the cool kids are running at the shootout... this post reminded me... JP, are you camping at the track for the shootout? I hope to camp fri-sunday with doing some T&T on Friday/Saturday with my car. If you want to park close, you can enjoy the fruits of helping hands and copious amounts of booze at night. -
You could just buy a quality intercooler that isn't built by the lowest bidder to do the same. Don't get me wrong, cold air is good, but once its compressed by a snail, you are relying on the intercooler more than the intake temp to get your IAT's down. Either way, I wish you luck, and look forward to the results.

mine sucks in plenty of hot air and still makes plenty of power. Not sure you want to add more cold air in your car as its already on the ragged edge!!!!

For the love of everything go auto if you plan to race it. 6 speeds are money pits. 3 years and way too much money trying to make mine half as fast as a stock block auto car lol

Here are the videos from yesterdays pass. The in car is somewhat comically bad. In any case, I am excited the car tracks straight and is starting to dig its way out of the hole. From the stands: In car Go-Pro video:

Need to port and modify the stock pump and itll survive. TC is programmed in the car, but i havent used it much at the strip. Works awesome on the street!

34psi. This turbo really needs to see 40+ to start working as it should. However I'm currently fuel pump limited on my power.
-
That's the plan! The car is leaving straight and driving straight, so its time to turn it up and make it leave like it needs to. I was honestly surprised at the prep level for a street night, so we didn't have enough power in the car to get a good launch. I have some minor things to fix then I can give it another go.
