    Looking for a magnum revolver.
  2. Amazon has 'em cheap. What you're after is called a 'lance' and they're near universally compatible.

    In the market.
  5. I'm about to begin mine in a few weeks. How about a summary / tldr?
  6. ^ avoid the CIS system
  7. 187k on my Allroad. I'm not particularly juiced about my TDI - 30mpg. Fwiw. Grab a 3.2L avant.
  8. Yep, all gone. Amazing how fast money moves when they want it to - had a check in my hand 45 minutes after the signer left. Still takes 8-11 weeks for a mail in rebate somehow!

    Wanna buy an AK.

Nyet. Just changed jobs, house sale hasn't closed yet and I've got those skip-a-paycheck blues . I did take the advice into account though, and I've been poking around the shops..
  10. I have some aluminum sheets I can part with. Maybe a bit thick for keychains, I'll hit it with a caliper if you like. Was gonna put them on my cnc router when that was a thing. You might look to the .. what is it, Idea Lab? Maker Space? And DIY there for less.

looks like Atlantic Firearms has AKM247C in wood $559. I'm considering this as well (doesn't fold)

    Wanna buy an AK.

Zastava PAP or spring for the Arsenal SAM7UF? Something else? I'm a long guy, so I'd like a long stock. I'd like a smooth action and milled receiver. I like folders, either way is fine. I'm a buy-once-cry-once kind of guy generally, but the PAP seems a good bang-for-buck. Please post your glorious rifles.
  13. This is what's happening - they want the bottom dollar, that's what they get and no more.
  14. FN will be pissed. And this will be an easy sell, because AK are more scary looking than AR and there's plenty of footage showing misuse, from saudi weddings to russian dash cams.
  15. Congratulations! We're still countering with the first people to offer, but they started at 120. Then 125, then 127. I'll approve it at 130 or they can walk. We're up to 8 showings, but only the 1 offer. I made a mistake listing the house at what I felt was a fair price. I think if I would've listed it at 139, per my realtor's advice - I'd already have an acceptable offer. And I should've finished painting. If the deal falls through, I will. YMMV.

    alien gear

I have one. Carried it for a few months - 4 o'clock carry doesn't suit my body type well, I switched to AIWB. (a G-code Incog) In terms of quality, it seems fine. The leather's a bit tough. Any specific questions?
  17. I built a CNCRouterParts machine, CRP-2448 Do you have the Gecko controller? (Or other such module) You'll need to find a bit about your motors and drive setup. You'll need a machine with Windows 98 and Mach3 installed. I used Vectric software (Aspire) for design and code.
  18. He's suggesting a Solid State Drive ("SSD") http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-2-5-Inch-Internal-MZ-75E250B-AM/dp/B00OAJ412U No moving parts and they're very fast.
  19. Last day in the office for me, got a new job. Feels pretty good. And I bought some fancy shoes on my lunch break.
  20. I'm also going to recommend a mac. If you don't wanna futz around with it and just use it for browsing / photos / movies / mail / media, it's a fine choice. Particularly if you're concerned about obsolescence. Also if visitors / kids / the less technically savvy are going to use it on occasion, you'll save yourself the malware and virus headaches. Oh, and actually - if you don't actually need a full fledged computer (and most users don't, like most drivers don't need a lamborghini) then get a Chromebook. Gave one to somebody for Christmas and it's a great machine, no complaints and I haven't had to provide any tech support Has a long battery life and inexpensive at about $350
  21. I had carpet and pergo in the basement where I sorta-finished it for a home theater. I liked the pergo better, cold carpet is a moisture trap. YMMV. Hey, I just put that kitchen floor down a month ago! Yeah, the area's not what it used to be. I've been around here for 30 years. It's recovering now, but it has seen hardship in the last 5 years. We got an offer last night, but it's just too low at 120k. By my math, that's 120k minus 6% for the realtor, minus 3k for closing/warranty, a couple hundred for title work leaves me holding something like 108. And that ain't right. If we can't get a reasonable offer in the next week or so, I'll get to paintin'. Carpet's like new, and I'm not spending anything on appliances.
  22. http://i.imgur.com/AYY6vrz.jpg We're up to 6 showings now.. I did receive a realtor feedback about paint, so I guess there's something to that advice. I've heard of Zillow and other sites being behind, but our listing updated within hours of being activated in the MLS
  23. Thank you for the feedbacks! We're moved - I had a rental that I evicted, we're tucked in there now and going mortgage-free for awhile. I've got a lot of changes happening at once - eviction of those tenants, rehab and moving in, the sale, a new job starts in a week, and an almost-2 year old mini-me running around. I feel like a rookie several times over and I'm probably making some mistakes along the way. Undervaluing the house could be unfortunate, but it's not without issues. Eg, the AC conked out last summer, isn't fixed. The dishwasher is old, and the range is a piece of shit. The foundation is piered with steel I-beams, and the basement windows aren't very good. Still, it's a big bright space with high ceilings and pretty expansive open areas. It feels good. Comps in the zipcode look like crap to me. At this point, I dont' know if we're the Seuss house, the chalkboard house, house of glass, or what. I mentioned painting over the mural to ms cybe, she said 'tell 'em to eat green eggs and ham!' /ramble
  24. I put my place on the market on the evening of 2/10, We had two showings yesterday and two more today are scheduled. Is this typical? We don't even have photos up.. Here's the Zillow link http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/5489-Redwood-Rd-Columbus-OH-43229/33916174_zpid/ Here's an album of just cellphone snaps my lady took http://imgur.com/a/ZGJyj Comments/Crits/Observations welcome. Tell me what looks like shit (other than the potato pictures) so I can fix it. Don't really know what to expect.
