Studded tires questions and daily driving
aussiek2000 replied to carl1647545492's topic in Passing Lane
I take it back. Would be nice to have studs this morning. But the winterforces did ok. http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r39/aussiek2000/7316F036-D4F1-40E2-A252-FD79E158803D.jpg http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r39/aussiek2000/9B024863-7E04-43DC-8D57-FDE626FBF13C.jpg -

You shouldn't need studs around here. I run Blizzak LM-25 on my G8 and Firestone Winterforce on my Ranger and they both do great. -
Mustang GT350 vs. Cadillac ATS-V vs. Camaro Z/28 vs. Hellcat
aussiek2000 replied to zeitgeist57's topic in Passing Lane
I only see one LS on the list, so Z28 for me. -
My G8 is away for the year and I don't think my $800 beater will make it there, sadly

What mods/wheels/tires? Mine is lowered and on stock wheels and tires for now. Not even close to rubbing. Should be able to clear a 285 on a 9.5 wheel +50 offset. http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r39/aussiek2000/Pontiac/IMG_0054.jpg http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r39/aussiek2000/Pontiac/32C35476-EC67-4BF0-959C-0342A89D6380.jpg

+1. I doubt they removed the DI fuel pump. You still need a normal 60psi pump to feed the HPFP. -
I have a pair off of my G8 L92 heads. Don't know if they are what you need or not Here is a pic. I can unbolt the cats. http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r39/aussiek2000/Pontiac/45392512-92BF-4EE6-AF4D-9CACC52D5CD4.jpg

Question for GM guys about part..pic within
aussiek2000 replied to mustangman2011's topic in Passing Lane
Call the dealer a good parts guy can find the connector but you'll probably have to pin it. PM me and I can give you our go to parts guy's info. Is this application specific or are you piecing something together? -
I got a killer deal on these. $200 for 2 on ebay. And $60 for 2 on another forum. So $260 on a set of snow tires.

I like the lm25's. I had to Drive the G8 last year due to not having another car and with the LSD, they were amazing in the snow.

With the weather forecasted this weekend and the way its been, I figured it was time to mount the Blizzaks up and take off the Invos. I don't plan to drive in the snow this year, but the extra traction in the cold in much better. Anyone else putting winter tires on their ride? http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r39/aussiek2000/Pontiac/10365769_10154836858455232_7457662013907983019_n.jpg http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r39/aussiek2000/Pontiac/1554532_10154836858500232_7027432759654828728_n.jpg

Thank you. Sadly the time came today to load up the winter tires. I'll have to mount them this weekend. Invos aren't liking this cold weather.

And to everyone else who I idn't quote, thanks for the kind words. And yes, the caliper covers are coming off soon. About the same time the brembos go on. And no, I didn't pay for the covers, on there when I bought it, just haven't bothered to removed them due to the ugly stock brakes.

Thanks for the heads up about the site. PM me if you want to go to a meet/race or what not. Although I'm changing over to my winter tires this weekend, I'm always game. Big build coming over winter though. I live near Autozone. Not too many nice cars, but you catch a couple around town occasionally. Not 100%, but decent. The paint was immaculate underneath though. If I'm going to be on the highway for more than a couple hundred miles I always tape up. I'm not sure its actually supercharged. My slow 4-door drug its ass one night.

I was directed to the site by a contractor working on our building. My Name is Austin and I am from Zanesville. I own a 2009 Pontiac G8. Currently is headers, exhaust, tune, intake, catch can, springs, struts, sway bars, trans cooler, and some mild appearance changes (GXP front bumper and rear diffuser). Car currently makes 354/364 on a Superflow. Will be cammed, and stalled come spring with full supporting mods. Along with a nice set of drag radials. Looking to hit up a few 1/4 miles tracks and road course in the coming year along with at least one road rally. http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r39/aussiek2000/Pontiac/IMG_2458.jpg http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r39/aussiek2000/Pontiac/IMG_2448.jpg http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r39/aussiek2000/Pontiac/IMG_2432.jpg http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r39/aussiek2000/Pontiac/IMG_2431.jpg On the way back from LS fest http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r39/aussiek2000/Pontiac/10634431_10202580258015245_752543462_n.jpg On the way to LS fest http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r39/aussiek2000/Pontiac/10624775_10154702319615232_3253359161652972436_n.jpg
