Well crap guys, didn't even know you were riding. The guy on the BMX is an old friend of mine, Rolla. Awesome dude. Lost his mom to breast cancer two years ago. His thought behind it was that cancer patients don't have a choice in how easy or difficult it will be, so he wouldn't either. I'm pretty sure he's going to get a road bike though for next year. We had several extended stops. Haha.

You'd be surprised how often I've heard that this weekend. I tried getting ahold of you. Hope you had fun. The weather was perfect. Not really. Went to Pegram's open house then to grab a bite to eat with the family and some friends. I'm just hungry. Can't seem to eat enough today. Feeling pretty good really.

Thank you! You have no idea how much everyone cheering us on helps. I couldn't believe all the people standing on the side of the road clapping, yelling "thank you", holding signs, etc. It really was amazing.

That's right folks, I rode 50 miles yesterday in Pelotonia and I didn't die! Woo! Big kudos to all the volunteers, and special thanks to the motorcyclists from here and BMC who chatted with me along the way. Gotta say, that was awesome and it was great seeing you all out there. Here are a few pics: Yeah, that guy really rode 50 miles on his BMX bike. It really was an awesome event, and I highly encourage anyone and everyone to sign up and do it next year. I'm a slow, 30-something, out of shape, beer drinking, sometimes smoking, pathetic excuse for a bicyclist and made it just fine. In fact, next year I'm planning to go for the 100 miles. If anyone is still interested in throwing a couple bucks towards my rider page, feel free. I believe were still raising money until sometime in October.
