    Where did you stay @NinjaDoc?
  2. Thinking about doing my first track day. Anyone else going that weekend?
  3. Also, Hops in the Hills (a craft beer festival in Maryville, TN) is usually the same weekend for those who want to check that out. If enough people are interested, might be worth checking about a taxi/shuttle to take us.
  4. Yes, I know it's way early. I wanted to make sure to get this information to everyone as early as possible since the dates and lodging have changed.
  5. Countdown to blast off!!! ----------------------------------- Important stuff You are responsible for yourself. This is an "at your own risk" event. Motorcycling is dangerous. All roads are dangerous, but especially these. Be careful. Ohio Riders LLC and the owners of Ohio Riders LLC cannot be held liable for anything (like, but not limited to, traffic tickets, accidents, stupidity, death, etc). ----------------------------------- What is this? Ride your own ride. Enjoy the weekend. Be safe. This is not a competition or a race. This is just a good weekend away with friends new and old. It just happens to be a weekend for a bunch of us to meetup down there to have some fun. The weekend is up to you. When you come down, where you ride, who you ride with, where you eat, where you stay, etc is completely up to you. Nothing is officially organized. There are no set routes. There will be shindigs in the evenings involving a campfire for us to sit around and tell lies. ----------------------------------- Dates June 20-24, 2018 Yes, the dates changed. You can blame me if this causes any issues. My daughter's birthday lands on Thursday in 2018. ----------------------------------- Lodging We're changing it up for 2018. We've reserved all of Townsend Gateway Inn. That's 45 beds in total. Townsend Gateway Inn offers a lot of cool stuff for us. There's a conference room we can use for free, grills on the property, a pool, two fire pits (they even supply the wood for us), BBQ onsite, several restaurants nearby (including Trailside Steakhouse for those like me who were craving steak this last trip), wifi that actually works, cell phone reception, two miles from the entrance to Smokey Mountain National Park, etc. There are even a few gas stations and grocery/convenience stores nearby. It's only 45 minutes away from the dragon and (according to @Tonik) the roads are awesome. For those who like to head down to Georgia, it doesn't add much to the time/mileage. For those who want to dual sport, there are tons of gravel/dirt roads nearby. There are several others motels in Townsend if you'd like to stay somewhere else or if we sell out. Little River Bar BQ is across the street (suppose to be really good), as is River Rage Tubing for anyone who wants to go tubing. For those looking to camp, Ye Olde Mill Campground is across the street next to the tubing place, and several other campgrounds are just down the road. And for @OsuMj and anyone she suckers into hiking, the Townsend Historical Trail runs right in front of the motel. Townsend Gateway Inn 8270 State Hwy 73 Townsend, TN 37882 map The rates shown below include all taxes. 6. Hard to tell, but I'm flipping off the line of Harleys in front of me that wouldn't let me pass them. They even crossed the double yellow to keep me from passing. https://xtremesportsphotography.photoreflect.com/store/Orderpage.aspx?pi=0QAK02P9050553&po=553&pc=3434

I wanted to open a campground/cabins on 555. He wants to close the road down for races.

I've thought about this for years. If I ever stumble into some money it's on the top five list of things I'd do with it.

What was shitty about the lodge room? We had a mouse and the stove shocked Joel. I'd love to find a new place. And of course you're part of the group, man.
  10. Awesome time as always. I didn't take many pics unfortunately. Great seeing everyone old and new.
  11. I'm really trying not to laugh. You and the bike ok? Can you blame Howard for it?
  12. The stove just shocked Joel. Ok a side note, we're cooking up the rest of the sausage and and bacon if anyone wants some.
  13. White Corvette from Georgia with plate LS2FAST on 129 wasn't too fast.
  14. Dinner at the restaurant/grill tonight at 7pm. Pizzas are ordered. See you all out there. Drinks and everything else are on you.
  15. Should be rule #1. Rule #2 should be don't give Ben bourbon and apple pie if you want him up on time.
  16. Tonik bitches about his pizza being served last.
  17. Tonik bitches about hipster beer at brewery.
  18. Tonik bitches for 1.5 miles walking to the restaurant.
  19. I'm always big spoon. Right, @Tonik?
