yea thats the petcock. the on/off/res switch. yes, it is one line from the tank to carbs. there is probably a smaller vacuum line attached to the petcock also. as for running on only one cylinder, it would be preferable to fix it, but its not going to really hurt anything.

You can borrow my ex-500 manuals if you want. Same basic engine. A few differences though. There will be slightly different procedure for actual removal... Maybe different airbox or a different bracket here and there, but overall carb cleaning will be the same. I'd be willing to help you with it too if you need. I've been through the carbs on my 500 many times. Actually I think I have a leaky float I gotta tear into them one of these days. What probably has happened is some kind of debris has entered the line and clogged the float valve somewhere along the line. It could be in the actual valve or upstream of it. Have you taken the tank off lately? Its common for a piece of the rubber fuel line to get sheared off on the petcock nipple and jam the valve.

ok, i see that you have the vulcan 500... i guess thats something else that didnt work in the red carbon skin.... anyway, thats the same engine thats in my ex-500. the carbs are cake. how did you determine that one carb is not getting gas?

piston slap often will go away after the engine is warmed up. basically, when its cold the pistons are not as tight in their bores. once it gets warm, the metal expands and it fits the bore better. drain the oil and check for any debris. maybe a failed rod bearing... that will usually get worse as the oil thins out.

yeah the crane is a good spot. personally, i like to sit in the building thats off to the left if you are on top of the crane, i think its A when you play domination there... but you can get down behind that little desk and get out your sniper rifle and pick people off in the other building and walking up the center.

yeah MW2 is designed for camping... but i think some of that may have to do with it being MODERN warfare. i mean, im sure soldiers in iraq do a lot of camping IRL. they dont just run around the streets with a shotgun and combat knife. if someone camps in battlefield, you can just go back to the spawn and jump in a tank, come back and level the entire building. provided someone doesnt sneak up behind your tank and plant an explosive.
