01 Tahoe LT 4x4. 5.3l. 190,000 miles. Idles and runs great. Today a very foul smoke started coming out of the tailpipe. It is very much like burning plastic mixed with a hint of electric fire. Is not something stuck to piping, smell is inside exhaust. Oil full and smells ok. What in the hell could make its way into the exhaust and burn? Smells nothing like a converter and nothing like oil or coolant.

My boys 7 and 9 both play spring and fall little league baseball (that I usually coach or assist) and both do summer all Stars (3 or 4 weekends in July plus practice). League are 80 to 100 bucks. All Stars is $20 each. This is PLENTY of baseball. They also mix and match soccer and basketball... again around 80 bucks. My older boy was asked to be on the league's travel team, but we declined. Btw, we've scrimmaged the 8u and 10u travel teams, and they're not all that much better. If you have the cash and desire for travel teams, pick one that exists to teach and have fun, and go for it.

Guys, I've done about everything you can imagine to n/a and f/I 3800s. When I can drop it off and come back at the end of the day, for free... I'm not touching it, lol.

This is a "4th"/ spare car for us that gets driven < 1000 miles per year. It didn't smoke until early this year. I'm more than capable of fixing it, but when someone else will do it for free, seems silly not to go that route. Plus they're going to do the ignition recall from morons hanging 5 lbs of shit on their key chain.
