  1. Ha, I ran you that day, with an uncapped 383 and you can't hear my S10 on the video. Oh, and the exhaust on my current GTP sounds tits; better than a lot of V8s.
  2. Here you go... http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/vehicle-classifieds/1403473-2001-z06-corvette-black-99k-miles.html Some serious money in that trans and rear end. Damn shame it's in CA. Probably have it for 13-13.5
  3. Beautiful, Spring day outside bump.
  4. Damn straight. I can hardly tell them apart. It's just a 350-400hp, RWD, LSx - powered, 6 speed, ultra-comfortable sports car with IRS glorified "version" of the Grand Am. Plus, you know, it shares SO MANY parts with those junky Grand Ams. Really, GTOs are built on the same assembly line as the Grand Ams and Grand Prixs. Just a different emblem and wheels. True story.
  5. I have an older Katana black flip phone. If it would work for him, you can have it. I don't have a clue how old of one would work? http://www.mobilewhack.com/images/sanyo-katana.jpg
  6. The GTO started from the beginning, planning on using the Holden. The production number was announced prior to the first car being built. Every 04 sold. Not much of a "blowing it" IMO.
  7. Just sat one out by the road Saturday for free. Was gone Sunday morning.

    Ha.

Watching American Pickers. 2 year old son screams at the top of his lounges. Hysterical. Walk into kid's bedroom. Find son in one corner of bed, opposite from a corner with a Glow Worm lit up and playing music. "AHHH! SCAAAARED" "AHHH!" "Are you scared of this doll, son?" "YYYYEEESSSSS". "Do you want your momma"? "YYYEEESSSSS!" Son punches Glow Worm. Rolls over. Asleep. Weird.
  9. NAPA. It's what we sold at Dad's all those years. Couldn't count how many people bought cheap shit across the street at AZ, and would come back to us for the NAPA blades. And yes, they are pricey.
  10. OC is out of the question. I have talked to 4 or 5 people who decided to go with them and every one of them felt ripped off in the end. Way over priced was the typical reply. My basement - knock on wood - is nice and dry. Good ol' stud walls and drywall is good enough for me. I'll run a dehumidifier in the couple autumn months if needed.
  11. The FRC, for all intents and purposes, was the test bed for the Z06. Z06 ended up getting some lighter, thinner windows, I think a lighter roof, some brake ducts, lighter wheels, less sound deadening, titanium pipes, etc.
  12. I want an area I can hide from 2 to 3 kids and a wife. Preferably with a huge couch, large tv, and mini-fridge. Everything else is up for debate. We started looking for 4 bedroom homes with kiddo 3 coming, and once you think about realtor fees, moving, yadda yadda, I'd rather just dump $15000 into this house that has the land, garage, and kitchen she and I love.
  13. Wait a second............... There are other car forums?
  14. Pics of what you sold? Pics of what he sent back? Ebay user name?
  15. Thanks Tim. For ceilings - I just saw a friend's basement that they left the joists exposed and painted everything a matte black. I really like it, and leaves piping/wiring accessible. Not sure of anything yet. Would really like to get some companies out here for free estimates. For what it would cost to sell this place and buy exactly what I want, I think I can just invest that money here.
  16. One of the coolest things about the Z06 was a trip I made, about 400 miles, and saw 31.something mpg. That was 100% bone stock.
  17. Ever get into adding egress windows? Thinking of tackling it myself.
  18. J Shetler Construction They did my roof - 45 squares, replaced about 4 total sheets of plywood. In and out in 2 days. Very impressed. A ladder fell and damaged one of my exterior lights. Without even hesitating, he told me to tell him what I thought it was valued at. He took that amount of my bill. Small things like that mean a lot to me.
  19. I actually owned neither. I had an LS1 GTO and Z06 C5. I would DD either. The GTO was more comfy inside and rode smoother. The GTO was easier to see out of. GTO was also easier on parking lot inclines and parking ties. The only real advantage to the Z06 was the fact that it was a Z06.
  20. I liked mine. I dig it without too. Didn't bother me enough to remove them.
  21. Here - http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-corvettes-for-sale-52/ You can spend all night there. I did many, many times.
