  1. Sorry, this name has been taken. Please select another. http://www.photoblip.com/images/445/e07ccf3349931636d317c0ac38370114.jpg
  2. I don't worry at all about putting the boys in the front with me. I grew up riding in a lot of trucks that DIDN'T HAVE A BACK SEAT. I drove a Ranger for a year or so, and everyday picked up my older boy (then baby) from the sitter.
  3. If you run sbc headers on an LT1, you just have to make sure the primaries are large enough to "cover" the entire D-shaped exhaust port. I don't think 1 5/8 will work, but I'm not 100% sure.
  4. That button on the side of your phone takes pictures...
  5. Answering the phone to learn who just died.
  6. Everything you say makes sense under normal circumstances, and maybe in mine too. I traced the cable from the pedal, through the wall, and to the tb. Everything looks good. I have actual been behind the wheel when a cable stuck because of a bad mount in an old 351 Torino. Very similar to what I experienced except for the part where I wasn't revving it and it stuck, it increased RPM by itself, from an idle. People aren't believing me on that last part, but I promise it's true. Can't get back out to wrench on it until Wednesday. About ready to throw a carb on it... J/K
  7. No Cruise Control. I'm tracking an interesting idea concerning the turbo building pressure and forcing the tb blade open, raising the RPM, raising boost, raising RPM, raising boost...
  8. http://www.autoblog.com/2010/02/23/chrysler-recalls-312-000-2005-2006-minivans-over-airbag-issue/ If they won't cover it for some reason, I found a thread where the guy just removed the bumper sensors, cleaned them, put dial. grease on and he was good to go. But, I'd think a dealer would hook you up with something as important as airbag issues.
  9. Don't doubt it, nice looking setup.
  10. I believe it. They can actually pull several times their own weight, and there are 4 of them.
  11. The simple truth is the folks that ultimately run this site can make, break, bend, enforce or ignore any established or imagined rule they want to at any time. If the powers of CR decide Cleveland and Dayton members are idiots and need banned, oh well. From Newark? Well, you can only see the Oven. Too bad. Having said that, I feel most folks around here are treated pretty fucking equally and fairly.
  12. Just mentioning that the car doesn't have an EGR setup, it was deleted. It is an auto, I *think* it would be vacuum modulated - it's a C4, but has been converted to full manual, reverse pattern. I got this reply on another forum - "tps. My car did the same thing. Yes your tps can pull the car to 6k with the tb closed. Dont ask me how" Hmmm. I could buy that a hosed up TPS could hold the car at an RPM by having physically messed up plastic inside it stopping the blade from returning shut, but I'm not sure how it would cause one to rev high?
  13. Yeah, been out there tonight tracing vacuum lines. EGR deleted.
  14. I know you're just joshing, but it still isn't funny to me. Still freaked out about it, really. Besides almost crashing the car, I about took out my detached garage, Ram, and S10. I think if I had been on pavement and not gravel, there would have been no time to think and shut her off. Spinning in gravel was the only savior. Probably, I've only known this bit of info for 30 minutes. And BTW, a red Power Wheels would have been in the path of destruction as well.
  15. Verified gas pedal movement, no binding. Strong return spring rate, nothing in its way. The only odd thing I can find is that the inside of the TPS looks all buggered up.
  16. Happened once the VERY first time I was ever behind the wheel idling in reverse down my drive. I figured I just hit a patch of ice with the bald drag radials and the brakes didn't hold the car, or I hit the gas with my boots (pedals are VERY close together). That was putting the car into the garage to make some non-related repairs. Today's incident was the second time ever behind the wheel, this one in a forward gear. So, that's two times in a row, batting 100%. Of note - both times the car was in a gear. It seems to idle for a few minutes without revving through the roof when in Park. Some details: Older Ford 302, non-stock throttle body, non-stock everything really.
  17. Here's a fun one. Let's say you're idling down your driveway one sunny day in a higher horsepower car. While still at an idle, the car decides that it would rather be turning 5500+ rpms and do a burnout in your gravel. This wasn't a case of being at a high rpm and the car sticking there, like a stuck throttle cable. The car went to WOT by itself. The question is, what in God's name can I check for this one? I have never seen or heard of this. And yes, I was fucking scared.
  18. If someone ever tried this, there's no way bystanders would be 10' from the "launch" area.
  19. I have used it many times. Super happy every time. The first time was through National City rewards (now PNC). Got a $100 credit to choose from the website. Turned it into something like $150. Have ordered probably 5 times since. It's legit, never had issues getting certificates. Selection isn't great, but what you see is what you get.
