  1. Ask for a long (10 minute) walk-around video and one of it driving down the road. Any serious seller will do that, IMO. Also, the inspection can be done at the BMV, and it literally consists of them checking the mileage, color, and VIN. My Z06 came from Kentucky; the owner trailered it here for free.
  2. No wiring headaches with a carb. In fact, you can lose 20 lbs of wire.
  3. Nope, the more input the better. I am also 5' 10".
  4. I was talking about a 5' 10" passenger on the back. My wife hates bikes or Corbin seats that put her a lot higher up than me. I had no issues at all on the Busa - I was more than flat footed. A guy asked about a possible trade deal for my Mean Streak. I guess I need to sit on a ZX14.
  5. Not a lot of difference between a high 13 and a low 14. I assume this was at Trails both times? I have been .4-.5 different between 2 nights in the same week at Trails. Probably depends on how lazy the prep guy was. This wasn't your first time driving it this year, right? You had some other thread about racing some dude. 2-3 tenths could be as stupid as a loose wire, bad plug, a 1-wheel spin... who knows.
  6. Hop on LS1Tech, search for swapped LSx S trucks and PM the owners. They should be a ton of help. EDIT - what year?
  7. Ha. "Expleetuves." Okay. First 40 seconds sounds like she is describing anal.
  8. I am looking for real world one vs the other opinions. I have ridden a Busa several times, and several Ninjas, but never a ZX14. Besides both being retarded fast, how do they stack up on 40 mile commutes, taking a 5'10" passenger, maintenance, etc. thanks.
  9. Unique not always = cool or sexy. Sorry. And, it's not even that unique anymore. I don't dislike VW, and I like car guys trying things out... but wow that does not look good.
  10. Just shove your thumb in the #1 cylinder plug hole and rotate the engine or have someone bumping the starter. When you feel pressure pushing your thumb out, you're on the compression stroke (if you don't have a TDC tool).
  11. Read the 2 above me. Long, flat head screwdriver is all you need to move the oil pump shaft.
  12. I would also use the correct tool, which I have somewhere. Let me dig through the garage tomorrow night.
  13. All PM's replied to. Sorry it took a couple days. Thanks
  14. Just because it leaks (if it is leaking), doesn't mean it will overheat. You have other problems. Any nasty milky looking shit in the water? Are you adding antifreeze each time, or just water? The system needs antifreeze even in the Summer. I'd do what's mentioned above since it's a cake job; swap the thermostat and make sure you get it full. You should be able to see water seeping out of the small hole on the underside of the pump if it needs replaced. Big air bubble, clogged radiator, stuck stat, head gasket, pump are all possible. I assume this has a mechanical fan?
  15. I've done this... 3 or 8 times. Me and a couple others can answer all V8 S10 questions you can ever dream up. http://nurkvinny.com/images/Vehicles/Trucks/1989_S10/89YellowS109.jpg http://nurkvinny.com/images/Vehicles/Trucks/1986_S10/86S108.jpg http://nurkvinny.com/images/Vehicles/Trucks/1985_S10/CoolerMED.jpg
  16. XB-70... cruising speed: 2000 mph. Only flew from 1965-69. (Thanks Google) I have walked under it as well and was impressed.
  17. Man, check out a Chris A Peck, DOB 10/08/1983. How does he still have a license?
  18. I've had 2 people ask me if he has a website set up where they can view samples of his work. Does he have one?

  20. It never grew up as tall as its brothers.
  21. For this offense and the fines associated with it, again, I bet they will reschedule. It's not law that a cop only has 1 chance to make it to court.
