  1. It was good to meet some of you people. Applebee's tomatoe basil soup is THE shit.
  2. JVC RX-D201 A/V receiver. 7.1 channel, 100 watts per channel. This has 2 digital inputs: 1 optical, 1 RCA, along with a bunch of analog inputs. No HDMI inputs. http://reviews.cnet.com/av-receivers/jvc-rx-d201s/1707-6466_7-31425843.html http://www.amazon.com/JVC-RX-D201S-Control-Receiver-Silver/dp/B0007XH73S http://support.jvc.com/consumer/product.jsp?modelId=MODL027457&pathId=5&page=2&archive=true The receiver works great, but the fan MAY be going out as it makes kind of a grumbling sound every now and then. This is a slim receiver, it's closer in size to a DVD player than other receivers. Asking $75. Will include the owner's manual, remote, antennas, and box also.
  3. Free stuff: ATI Radeon 64mb AGP; the original radeon. These cards are old and may or may not work. Generic IDE DVD burner. 2 ~12" round IDE cables. 1 round floppy cable. big 'ole AMD CPU cooler with Zalman fan controller: $10 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835185125
  4. ...That's a joke, right?
  5. Well, I finally got my HTPC together and I got a new AV receiver that will do DTS-HD and Dolby TrueHD. Now getting it all to work together is a giant pain in the ass! For some reason Windows is reporting that my hardware doesn't support the new HD formats. (it does.) The battle continues...
  6. Here's an article on DDR3 speed and latency. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/core-i7-870-1156,2482.html Low latency 1333 or 1600 is the way to go. There's a minimal price difference between the 2 speeds. And as far as the i7's go, the LGA 1156 chips are dual channel and the LGA 1366 chips are tri channel. The 930 you mentioned is a 1366 chip so you'll want to get a 6 GB ram kit.
  7. Leave a message if possible. Everything goes into giant washers. They find stuff in the washers after a load all the time. My bro used to work there.
  8. It's work! which is something a lot of people don't have.

  10. Citi cards on the west side is hiring. They have multiple, multiple positions available. There are positions in 3 departments: print, presort, exceptions. Print: They are hiring print machine (laser and inkjet) operators and print QC people. Presort they are hiring mail sorter machine operators. Exceptions is a department that hand stuffs letters and bills. Go here: https://citi.taleo.net/careersection/2/jobsearch.ftl?lang=en-us&location=200000003 Narrow the search down to Columbus, OH. The following positions are currently open with possibly more opening (Requisition ID #): 10000331, 10005083, 10004908, 10004796, 10004609, 10004656, 10004899, 10004896, 10004900, 10004895, 10004901, 10004935 For print and presort some technical ability is a plus. Experience operating semi-automated industrial/production machinery is a plus. I do not work for Citi. I'm merely a contractor there, so I can't provide details on pay, etc nor can I "put in a good word with HR", but I will try to answer any questions anyone has. I don't know what starting pay is, but expect it to PROBABLY be between $10-$15/hour with benefits and paid time off.
  11. I'd rather avoid the ebay/paypal hassle and sell them locally. So, bump for new price: $100.
  12. The passport card is GAY. If you're getting a passport, get the book. The card is only good for GROUND travel. Use expedited processing if you're worried.
  13. How do you like the DiNovo mini? You go with a newer proc yet?
  14. I'm literally giving away money. It's pretty firm.
  15. Just return it. You bought a repaired appliance. It has been sitting there for a reason. I know this first hand.
  16. Having used all 3 controllers (both PS3 controllers and the 360) I def have to give the nod to the 360 controller. That thing is comfortable.
  17. I've got 3 BB gift cards totaling $125. $100 cash takes them. That's 25 free dollars for you. Bump for $100 price.
