I looked around online briefly. Found some in the $300 range ($!$!$!???)

I picked up a 17" Intel iMac (polycarbonate) at a decent price, but the display is cracked. I'd like to replace the display, but option 2 is to use an external LCD. Anyone have an LCD/otherwise non-functional 17" iMac/ know where I can get one at a decent price?

I'll agree with this half way. The build quality and engineering that go into all apple devices is top notch, however they usually use 2nd rate/obsolete parts. Also Performance/dollar is really low. If you want to run OSx, Hackintosh is the way to go.

Your hardware is native 64 bit, but it will still run 32 bit applications just fine. I've been running Win7 64 bit for months.

FYI, not all Core i7's are triple channel memory. Socket 1156 boards are dual channel, while Socket 1366 supports triple channel. Also worth noting: 1156 boards support dual channel @ 1333Mhz, 1366 boards support triple channel at 1066 Mhz. The bandwidth differences are negligible, and not noticeable to all but the nerdiest of nerds.

You can already do that on a JB'ed iphone.

A Wrangler is absolutely the wrong vehicle for anything but the smallest of small trailers. The wheel base is just too short. I would also think twice about towing a car with a 6 cylinder SUV. For what you're looking for it sounds like a crew cab truck would suit your needs best.

Core i5. Mother board. (least expensive). Ram. Video option a. Video option b. Video option c. (cheap) Video option d (cheapest) Blu-ray drive. DVD burner drive. Add in a case and a power supply for a complete PC.

Forget LGA775 and forget Core i7. LGA775 is a dying processor socket. $/performance Core i5 is unbeatable. Pair it with a decent mobo and 4gb RAM and you'll be set.
