  1. but really i would try and burnish them in again. Here are the GM instructions for burnishing the brakes: Burnishing Pads and Rotors Caution Road test a vehicle under safe conditions and while obeying all traffic laws. Do not attempt any maneuvers that could jeopardize vehicle control. Failure to adhere to these precautions could lead to serious personal injury and vehicle damage. Caution Refer to Brake Dust Caution in Cautions and Notices. Burnishing the brake pads and brake rotors is necessary in order to ensure that the braking surfaces are properly prepared after service has been performed on the disc brake system. This procedure should be performed whenever the disc brake rotors have been refinished or replaced, and/or whenever the disc brake pads have been replaced. Select a smooth road with little or no traffic. Accelerate the vehicle to 48 km/h (30 mph). Important Use care to avoid overheating the brakes while performing this step. Using moderate to firm pressure, apply the brakes to bring the vehicle to a stop. Do not allow the brakes to lock. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until approximately 20 stops have been completed. Allow sufficient cooling periods between stops in order to properly burnish the brake pads and rotors.
  2. take them off and sand them on the side walk. after that just put them in the trash can and then take it for a test drive. i mean if they squeak why not just take them off?
  3. i though about the kx65 forks but the ktm ones were better. i can't remember why though but i did alot of looking into it at the time.
  4. doesn't really work that way. you have to pay to have it reappraised (and hope they lower the value since you did all the other work and not raise it) and then have the city/county whatever reevaluate everything and hope they lower them. my mom said hers just went up not too long ago and the value dropped on her house:confused:
  5. it was stock suspension too, bottomed right out lol. if you know anyone with a 110 and they want to upgrade the suspension let me know. i have a pair of 2001 KTM SX65 forks i'll make an awesome deal on. then they just need the triple clamps, wheel and brakes. i sold the bike before i got to put them on, if you buy marzuchie (sp?) set up its like $1500. and they use the same forks.
  6. oh and my 50 sent me to the hospital once, the other times i didn't want to go lol.
  7. i used to have a Z50. it had a rough life with me. sold it and bough a klx110. had a Ti pro circuit pipe on it and bbr foot peg bar. i'll have to go through my pictures, i have one of me clearing a 65' table top at some track in GA. hence why i needed the peg bracket lol. had to run it 3rd gear WOT next to the track and then hop on before the face. it was nuts.

    Dear GM,

thats the thing, it should have been a 3rd gear turn. we were at about 4500 rpm already.

    Dear GM,

the Camaro SS LS3 with a manual trans is a tank. it feels like it pulls as hard as driving a tahoe. we attempted to turn on the launch control and did just as the book said and it never worked for us. it could really use a higher rear gear to wake it up out of a turn. went pretty harrd into a turn that should have been a 3rd gear turn but the car felt boged down like it could have used 2nd gear even though we were doing about 50ish. even my passenger said something about how it felt like i needed 2nd gear. we did do a standing start and there wasn't much wheel spin and we didn't get any wheel hop. ran it up to about 85-90 and it gets there pretty quick for as heavy as it is. then got pretty hard on the brakes, the brembos stop with ease and tracks pretty straight. so drag racing it could use some more gear and road tracking the car it could also use more gear. that should be mod #1. exhaust wise, the car sounds good at WOT. i was kinda surprised how loud it was for stock. just crusing around you can't really tell its running untill you tip in with it in 6th gear at 60 and hear/feel it bog some. i'm suposed to install what they told me was a SLP loud mouth and headers in the next few weeks. if it happens i'll report back on how it sounds.
  11. FYI ricer mufflers sound awesome on a big block chevy. you might see it on a few cars at good guys this weekend.

  15. drew, www.glass-holes.com has dirt cheep bulk heads. paul, i drove the vette to work to make my self feel better i'm going to cut the tank apart then cut the cracked part out and then cut the rest of the sides down to match and reassembly and make a sump out of it.
  16. dude, wall mart? there? you make it too easy.
  17. where do you get brain storm from? i want some too.
  18. i have located a 220g tank. its a wopping 1 inch taller.
  19. your first problem is thinking its 220. its 240 and it kills while 120 can too its less likely. if we don't see you post anymore we'll know what happen.
  20. even if he took it to the track he would loose 3 seconds in weight transfer before the thing would even move forward haha
  21. paul, he said light weight idiot. how much lighter can a 4 seater be than that ugly 2 seater i posted lol. plus you don't need 18" of suspension travel on the street.
  22. i've seen these with LSx engines. problem solved. http://adrianstomcat.co.uk/Images/Beetles/SandRail01-02.JPG
  23. will also lower your home value.
  24. you can buy a pre drilled tank (over flows) for $1200.00 and then still have to drill for the closed loop.
