You know whats funny is I ran into a girl I graduated HS with and she was going to UM, she tried explaining the the UM MSU game was a much bigger rivalry that OSU/UM. I always wondered if that were true, living on UM campus is it even looked at as a rivalry or are they just sore over the last couple of games? I didnt argue with her because I could care less.

Kirk, do you have the name of this imaginary warehouse where I can make 100k a year working 60+ hours a week @ 12.00/hour? sweeping floors no less?
-
Not to mention its hard to compare a 3.50$ afterhours charge and an 800$ engine swap from a dealer. there was only one time I ever saw a dealer make an exception, the guy had an 03 mustang gt, barely 15k miles on it but the 3 year warranty had JUST elapsed on it but it had some tranny problems, Ford made an exception and covered the work under warranty.

Its So Big!!!!

I like the 'light smoke full coverage', its inconspicuous enough to fly under the radar, anything darker will DEFINITLY look aftermarket and could cause some unwanted attention.

When did i say housing prices are the same as they were 20 years ago?
-
Yes but swapping an EVO 6speed into a DSM is impossible. Well... I shouldnt say that, ANYTHING is possible with enough money. Though the EVO and DSM share a 4g63 there alot about them that is different, hell the timing belt is on the opposite side of the block in an EVO, Im guessing the trans wouldnt exactly be a swap and bolt job.

I love USCC but it just seem's they have the same basic cars in it every year. They always have a Subi, a skyline, a supra, some sort of honda if not two, and some sort of german car (audi or vw). yes there all technically different cars than last year but its the same basic roster for the past couple years. I'll still buy the issue though.

Yes prices may get higher but so will inflation. Thats his point. If you bought your house in 1980 and it raised in value 1.5-2% every year since then it will be worth the same amount than it was in 1980 simply b/c the value only raised with inflation. Yes buying a home can pay off if you keep it for a length of time and dont sell after 3-5 years after JUST paying off the interest of the loan. Buying a home can be a sound investment. Thorne, I agree with you to a point. Personally I think that the length of time you plan on spending in your house will dictate whether or not its worth buying over renting. Tim made a good point that having 800$ in a rental is equal to paying an 1100$ mortgage payment every month after tax benefits. But I would argue that after maintenance and all the BS associated fee's with buying a home that margin is cut signifigantly.

THAT was funny. The whole brother/sister angle was a bit weird but funny shit.

Bump for marks car, Thorne Ive thought about picking this up myself. Despite being awd it will more than suite your needs. When its done that is.

You have to remember these cars were debuted in '89, most exotic's didnt even have 6speeds at the time. Shep makes the strongest aftermarket transmission period, they are also customizable with different synchros and shift forks. I know an aftermarket tuner called IPT or IPS works on DSM Auto trannies and right before I got rid of my car they came out with an electornic 'tap' shift. They were still in the latter stages of R&D but the thing was suppose to be faster than any manual transmission while using aftermarket paddles on the steering column. Pretty badass for a DSM. Thorne, just because you have a hookup no a cheap bigger turbo shouldnt mean you should be sold on the idea. I agree you'd need something bigger than a Big16g if you want the topend your looking for, but if your just basing your decision on price also factor in the fact that if you go with a 50 trim you need a front mount, bigger injectors/fuel pump (walbro 255), some kind of engine management perferably something more than a simple AFC and Pocketlogger, Ive heard DSMLink is the best but I never got that far. Id say if you can land a good deal on a shell or decent 1g fwd with a strong block and good compression you could make a roll car to do what your asking for under 3k as long as you dont have to open up the engine or the transmission and buy everything used. Dont get me wrong I think you shoudl totally go for it, just know what your getting yourself into b/c I didnt and dont want to see the same thing happen to you.

If he needs it for his job his job should be paying for it.

yeah but you have to understand it may be the cheapest to fix but it will be EXPENSIVE in the long run. Say you pick up a decent awd for 2500, bet on spending at least 2500 to get it and keep it in "reliable" somewhat factory settings (factory turbo, maybe some small mods like exhaust). Its not just a matter of spending 2500 on a car, then 1k in mods and done with it. I had my car for 2 years and I was constantly doing maintenance work on it so much so that i didnt even have time/money to spend on mods. If you dont have a garage to work on it, I wouldnt do it, but thats just me. As for price you can find a beat up one for 500, hell you can even find a shell for cheaper than that. Awd's are more expensive than fwd's, 90's are the strongest blocks rods/pistons though all 4g63's are pretty stout engines. The best example of any DSM is the 92 6bolt engine/4bolt rear end. I personally think these are overrated, 3 bolt rearends have performed just as well as 4bolt. The best looking body is by far the 99. If I were you I'd go for a 91 fwd, depending if you want to dig or roll with dictate if you should get an awd or fwd. Its getting harder and harder to find a dsm that isnt 'modded' somehow, your best bet is to find one that hasnt been modded alot and retains the factory 14b turbo. May I ask why you want to go with such a big turbo? in many cases a big 16g can be more than enough to get the expectations you want.

the first one was definitly a repost but the second one wasnt, to me anyway. but damn the two chicks making out was great. mostly b/c it was funny, but also b/c it was two chicks making out.

Last i saw he wasnt seriously in the republican running at all but that was a few weeks ago. And republican or democrat aside, getting rid of the IRS and the Fed are pretty radical thought's. Im not saying Im for or against them just saying that its an extreme platform to be on.
-
So you dont have health insurance on you or your kids? Or you do but the deductable is really high?
-
I like this guy alot. He seem's honest, and out for the good of the country and democracy in general. While I personally prefer someone more 'middle of the road', I like the honesty in this fella. Like he's not swayed by what everyone else is doing and cant be bought off. I hate the fact that he doesnt get as much exposure as he should, and for that reason may not win his party. Id want him to run again but damn thats 5 years away not to mention he already ran in the 80's.
-
He's not only funny he's real. Or at least thats how he acts on his show. One thing I've always admired about him is that he doesnt buy into the bipartisan rhetoric that EVERYONE else does. Did anyone see the episode when he had the two guys from the cnn show on, their show was basically pitting a D and an R against each other. I dont remember the names of either but I do remember the Republican always wore a bowtie. Anyway, John Stewart called them out on his show for doing more harm than good, I think that took balls and was an awesome move.

Her healthcare policy is crap. As much as I HATE rush limbaugh he did make a good point, when she was involved in Clinton's cabinet in Arkansas, she took over education legislation and was determined to make the state better, by time she was done the state was still 49/50. From what I've read of her Healthcare reform she basically wants to give tax credits to everyone to suppliment the cost of healthcare. Once saying "just as states mandate auto insurance, health insurance will be the same", so if my job is outsourced over seas and I need to use your tax credits to... I dont know... eat and take care of my family what is the penalty of getting caught without health insurance? Would it be as simple as a fine, or something more serious that could be considered criminal? Just doesnt make sense to me but then again Im no expert at any of this crap.
