The simple act of an officer walking a dog past your car or around it is an act of search. My step dad trains these dogs and tell's me all these stories about them. So if the officer ask's to search and you say no but he still brings the K9 around your car, he's searching you anyway.

you mean BEFORE december 1980? remember that it's not only income that they take into account for.Your Expected Family Contribution consist's of income, asset's, size and whether or not your a dependant.

Your thinking of the 300c srt8, which was a possiblity but didn't make the final cut b/c of lack of a manual transmission. If you buy this spring will the gas guzzler tax be added on? when does that go into effect?

i wish i played games, so i knew what the hell you all are talking about. I'll go back to playing skirmish's on command and conquer now.

Sad thing is... there probably is some poor sap out there with some cash burning in the bottom of his pocket that he would be very willing to hand over if it made him her "sweetie". i'll buy it.

Dieting people who cant control their urges *rant*

I think your absolutly right. But something has to be said for finacially burdened families. what's the cheapest, easiest meal you can prepare for a family of 5 kids with almost no cash... wendies .99$ menu. Honestly my family wasn't exactly wealthy while i was in high school, our diet was horrid and never really consisted of any REAL food's. Yes i could blame my parent's for making me overweight but that's just not taking responsibility for my own condition. After i graduated. started making my own living, working out more (as well as working a very physically demanding job) and buying my own groceries i've lost about 50 lbs. did i diet? hell no. I still eat fast food but it's not the only thing that i eat anymore. Not to mention my parent's both either got substancial raise's or new job's in which they make alot more and actually make an attempt to work out now. And all the kids are grown and moved out. Disclaimer: i am in no way saying that all poor people are fat and all fat people are poor. im simply stating that it is a contributing factor from my experience's with it, that is all. -
What in the holy hell goes though one's mind when their walking in 20 degree weather picking out a car to be broking into at 1am-4am? Do they just say to themselves... "who will be my prey tonight, mustang with rims.. nah. J-body with a fart can.. nah. escalade w/ 20 inch rims... nah. lexus in the cornver... nah. mercedes right next to the lexus... nah. wow look at that, i've never broken into a spray paint flat black 1984 VW rabbit before there's gotta be some shit that i'd just love to get my greedy hands on in that piece." So you would think, such a nice area of town, try the door's maybe the dumbass left them unlocked. (which i did) NO FUCKING WAY, why the hell would you put forth the effort to open a door when you can break the passenger side window just as easily. fuck that. "ok let's look around... nothing in the back seat... nothing in the hatch area... nada in the glove compartment... some sweet ass pioneer 9x9's on the rear decklid... but their super glued on... let me try and... *sounds of physical force being applied*.. BAh too much fuckin' work. ooo weee look at that piece. a pioneer non-flip down head unit that looks to be around 8 years old or so. yupp thats it. *more sounds of physical force being applied*--- SNAP ---- well i have the face plate.. but the stereo is still in the dash... oh well on to the next POS." i do find some bit of enjoyment out of this. The sheer fact of KNOWING that when he finally got into the car there was NOTHING in it, a piece of shit stereo, and the doors were unlocked the whole time, making what little effort he/she did put forth into breaking into the car, worthless. As i said before, What the hell is wrong with people?

Me and the girl share 800 anytime (free nights and weekends) and we NEVER go over. Not to mention sprint (the company i use) has the deal in which 100 extra min. is only 5.00+ dolla's a month. but we'll never use 800 anyway so it doesn't really matter.

Ken said it best. This is the best of what the "sport compact" scene has to offer. Yes there are some downfalls. Mainly being the F&F crowd. the car show will undoubtably suck. and there will be enough vinyl to stretch from here to new york and back. but who care's. Your going to watch a 7 second 4 cylinder car make a pass... that's cool. However you can't simply categorize or label a whole group of enthusiast's simply b/c of the "bad apples" of the bunch. i would hardly categorize DSM's or the majority of the DSM community this way. So if your going to go. Go and watch the race's and just ignore the car show. who cares.

WTF was i thinking? i think i meant to put down 39,xxx or possibly 49,xxx regaurdless it was a typo. like you said, base msrp is 41,ish. mowgli it sounds like you've already made up your mind as to what car you want you just want someone to agree with your decision. i think in that price range and for the performance your getting you really can't beat it.

Actually the average league salary in the NHL is more than the average in any other professional sport. true.

There is a limited edition "Esx STI" coming out. 425hp factory direct with warranty and all if your interested. It's in the newest issue of "turbo" i haven't read the whole article yet though. but your right the new STS is a barge. What, if any, is the downside of the CTS-V?
-
Caddila STS The newest iteration of the Seville is now called the STS. With a base MSRP of 19,xxx and 320hp with the 4.6 liter v8 option. this car sound's like it fits your criteria. There is also an STS-V but i think this is out of your price range. It's made to compete with the M5 and E55 AMG. If i remember reading the article correctly it is a 4.6 liter supercharged northstar v8 making approx. 430hp. good luck. http://www.cadillac.com/cadillacjsp/models/gallery.jsp?model=sts

damn. True that would be a good comparison. Although the z06 has a better power to weight ratio (z06-6.3lbs per 1hp, srt10- 6.8lbs per 1hp), shorter gearing by 13%. But the viper has wider tire's and smaller frontal area which mean's top speed with be similar. motor trend, Feb 05,p.49

http://www.columbusracing.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=29;t=000789 Cheap and easy. if you already have a CRX you could just unload it for a grand or so, buy this one and your halfway there already. depending on if you piece together your own turbo kit it would cost anywhere from 1000 and 1800$ i've heard of someone fabricating the cheapest turbo kit possible for around 800, i can't verify this though.
-
If this is true, why not just take the ITR engine out, sell it to fund a GSR turbo engine? anyway, welcome your car sound's very nice.
-
Why? A 5100 lb fullsize truck vs. a welterweight 3100lb sports car vying for supercar status. What would the comparison be? The only test would be 1/4 mile time and trap speed. everything else... the z06 wins. srt10 -- 13.2 @107mph 06 z06 -- (at least 12's, though i don't have any article to quote for it at this time)

I have a friend who attend's, he has told me all about it. I have also heard the stories about the 16 second "drag" celica, stripped and running slicks... sad. oh and CJINOH, i haven't heard any good things about that program. As far as im concerned Ford prostitutes their program to any/all school's who will take it. Cols State's auto program in general isn't too impressive from what i've heard. However dayton has an awesome auto program at their community college, Sinclair.

not possible then. Even if you got a loan for 2000$ (Which probably isn't possible) they won't just hand over that kind of money without a proven track record.

Ask the guy if he's ever driven a Mercedes Benz, then ask if he's ever driven a volvo. I hate people like this. Every damn little thing is a competition. No matter what they can never just be happy with what someone else has they have to, in some way, tear you down. Bullshit.

Doug i have a friend who goes to NW of Ohio right now. im planning on going up with him in the next week or so. Also, the BMW program was the one that looked the best to me. While looking at their site it show's that only a few selected site's are able to do the BMW program. And the only one in/near ohio is Ohio Tech. in cleveland. I Don't really want to go to a school for a year or so just to move again for only 6 or so month's then have to move again. So, pending a tour of UNO and Ohio Tech. im leaning toward's Ohio Tech. I'd love to move to AZ for a year or so, haven't really checked out UTI mainly b/c all of their campus' are far away (save for the chicago campus). oh and scott, that is exactly what i wanted to stay away from. ie, small college town, not alot of jobs, not alot of student housing. At least in cleveland they have student dorms and part-time job placement while you attend school.
