I just had a 520 conv. done while other things were being done to the bike. How long after install should I tighten the chain? Never done this b4.

gprs' are sweet. The comment you made about pulling into a parking lot is absolutely true. I have a hyperpro rsc. It dampens according to vibration, automatically. Its worth looking at. I highly recommend hyperpro.

Ive been thinking about installing the 50hp jet too. Probably still get beat by 1k ponies in a vette.

Ive heard alot of bad things happen when folks wash their bike w/ water. Sorry to hear of your troubles. Ive never used water on my whips, just honda polish, ect.

just my experience....my .02 if you will. I have beat g1k's, 2 hayabusas, 12r, 14r and slaughtered every r1 ive tried. The busa is sweet, but its funny to me when a guy who has never rode before, goes and purchases a bike like that. Alot of new riders buy busas. They think they are the shit, and so on, we all know the story. And if all the hype is true about 195hp 2007 busa, I'll have one as a stablemate for my 10r. Point is...Its 90% rider. Although you 2 have jacked the hell outta this thread, the 14 is faster than the busa. Its in black and white. Thats why I'd buy the 14 over the busa, this year anyway.

Kaw offers somewhat of a 7th gear. I should get it. The downfall is 2k for all the parts for 500 rpm. However, the 10r is 1k low on the rpms. So in a sense, it would be like adding 1500 rpm w/ proper ignition advance. Just as the speedo is about 6% optimistic.

good point. but you should know how to fab fiberglass. And you gotta dump the KLEEN system, and its actually quite involved. Personally, i havent completed every step to this mod(s). And of course, just this mod alone wont alow you to kill every other bike. Now, if all those bikes were stock, then yes you would win if weight was comparable. So once you remove your cage in your ram air, and do the KLEEN mod, let me know. I will even help install.

I truely believe that riding on a hit rim is detrimental to ones health. Buy a new one! You will never get it pounded out by hammer to be acceptable to balance on a machine.
