  1. Currently without a long range rifle, but I'm definatitely up for this later in the year. I'm leaning towards a 6.5 build on one of the lowers I have for long range target.
  2. My golden rule is "I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter"
  3. Well if you used to associate with Isaac's Papa, I can only assume you are some sort of scoundrel, jerk, or hooligan. Should fit in nicely...
  4. I remember hearing a similar conversation as well. I suggest we tar and feather him.
  5. I think I'll pass on the boots Lizard, looks like I need an 11.5 in the Sidi's.
  6. Will do. If I decide I want them, will you be at the party tomorrow night?
  7. Do the run about the same as the Vertigo's size wise? I was going to try on some Veritgos at the Pony tomorrow. I have issues with finding something that will fit my feet right and my calf.
  8. I think I'm making a cheesy potato dish or green bean casserole. spz9 is making tiramisu I think, and Cleave is making a buffalo chicken dip last I heard (well, he's trying to outsource that to his date, lets hope he does).
  9. Gimme a call if you swing through akron, I'm off tomorrow doing christmas shopping.
  10. For what its worth, I find myself traveling to the Pony, trying stuff on, then buying it online or via the phone from them later when my budget allows. Even if I can get it cheaper elsewhere, I try to support the local (or semilocal in the pony's case) shops because I value being able to try on/fondle the gear first.
  11. heh, he's shorter than he looks in the vid too!
  12. I can't remember when they are coming in, 2-3 weeks I think. My buddy already had an order in process with his distributor for stag, sundevil and one other brand of lower, a coworker and I just reserved half of the stag lowers kinda nice having a personal ffl.
  13. I have 2 Stag lowers on order. One is going to be built up as tactical/m4gery to replace the one I sold a while back. The other is going long range/varmit.
  14. Greater chance of rain in the spring. Rain + Mid Ohio = bad juju
  15. Cause you're a dirty M*ch*g*n fan?
  16. We soooo have to take this to Wellsville.
  17. The issue with glocks is the unsupported chamber that supposedly is the cause of failures (aka kaboom) in the .40 variants
  18. I'd honestly go .22 for your first gun. Ruger semi-autos are great, but a bitch to disassemble. I have the 22/45. Smith 22a's are nice, as are the walther p22's (a bit small for my liking. I would hit your local shops and see what feels good in your hands, then worry about finding a used one at a good price later.
  19. Knowing you, you're just dying to verify this yourself. Perhaps even check out his sweaters.
  20. grandpa or not, I would not be that patient while waiting on a new toy. It is pretty handy having your own personal ffl. A buddy of mine just got his and it's working out well for me.
  21. Did you get delayed on the instant check or something?
  22. +1 It'll have to be a .22 or a makarov with that budget. And honestly, a .22 is the best place to start.
  23. R1Crusher and I are headed out there this morning if anyone wants to tag along. Call me or send a PM.
