  1. I'm not ripping on Pauly's riding, I'm ripping on the XB. That said, if they put the rotax engine in an XB, I'd consider owning one.
  2. steels corners road. 929, xb9r and r6. guess which bike ran out of steam going up the road from akron penninsula rd. I'll give you one guess. I always liked the Buells until I saw that.
  3. I'm in if the doc clears me to ride by then.
  4. the vortice damn near requires an engineering degree to put on.
  5. Please lose your OR.net password next.
  6. nope, just optical illusion. friend measured it.
  7. Forks are ok. Doc said he couldn't find anything broken, maybe a hairline fracture at worst. I'm in a splint until my follow up next week. Looks like I could be good to go in time for mid ohio at the end of june.
  8. corsa air is awesome, comfy just crash tested and they rock
  9. fixed that before i went. i blame the jackass controlling the throttle.
  10. Looks like Aug 15 with Nesba. Its a fun track, just pissed i really didnt get to ride it this time.
  11. I got lucky with the bike. Maybe $100 in parts to get it back up and running. If it goes well with the dr tomorrow, i'M hoping to get to mid ohio end of june and try to do Beaver again in august.
  12. yep. Another in our group crashed too, but he was uninjured and we got his bike back together so he could finish the day. Hoping to get back on the track in June if my injury isnt serious.
  13. Missed my first two sessions due to battery problems. Third session was crappy. Went down my third lap in session 4. Lowside in turn 5, the uphill off camber right hander. I was leaned over and knee down and got more aggressive with the throttle than available traction would allow. Bike ended up on the inside of T6, looks like minor damage, peg/brake levers/clipon bar. I ended up rolling a few times before I slid on my back. Ended up either spraining my right hand/wrist, or a slight fracture somewhere in my hand. Xrays showed no breaks but the amount of swelling and where the pain was had them concerned. I get to see an orthopedic doc tomorrow to find out for sure.
  14. We all know that even if another bike is allowed to be purchased, he won't be allowed out of the house to go ride.
  15. Step 1) Take Refund 2) Stop posting about it
  16. Did you mean Inches? Sag is usually 25-45mm depending on who you ask.
  17. Whats funny is thunderwear/smart carry. I never could get used to the idea of having a holster over my nuts. The thoughts of someone pulling their weapon in self defense in that situation is amusing tho, gotta wonder what a bad guy would think to watch some dude reach into the front of his pants.
  18. Not really, just happen to know some of those folks.
  19. Small world. I take it you deal with Mike? or his dad or uncle?
  20. I teach a lot with one of my cousins. He was doing a rifle shooting merit badge class for some boy scouts and used that terminology. I was quite amused and use it when I can.
  21. The following is my opinion. My opinion is based upon 20+ years of shooting. I am a certified Range Safety Officer, and a Certified Firearms Instructor in several disciplines. Ergo, you may want to take my opinion into consideration. This comes up in nearly every CCW class I teach. If a student does not bring it up, I will so that the point gets made in case anyone gets this silly idea in their head. "Always keep firearms unloaded until ready to use." Typical safety rule. That rule goes completely out the window when dealing with a firearm for self defense. A self defense firearm should always be considered "ready to use". This means in good working order, and LOADED. Unchambered=unloaded. I carry Glocks. Glocks are safe. Glocks will not go bang unless you put your booger hook on the bang button. If you do not do this, it will not "go off". If you are concerned about a lack of safety, here is what a good instructor will say about safeties. Safeties are mechanical devices and mechanical devices fail, never rely on a safety to keep you safe. That is what your brain is for. If you are that concerned, either put it in a holster, a quick action safe, or don't bother relying on it for self defense.
