  1. Seriously? Must you encourage that sort of behavior?
  2. As much as agreeing with Lizard makes me feel all dirty, he's right. Monte's house, Monte's rules. People gotta remember that it is technically a private event, so capitalism, while awesome, does not necessarily apply. If he says only his photog can sell pics, then thats the rule. Now, I think Monte ought to remind his photogs that personal pics are ok and not to be a dick about them, but up to him. Personally, I liked Joe's pics better than the new guys. I'm still going to buy a few this time, but next time I might bring my buddy with his pro gear for kicks n grins. That said, I still think the guy has a better business model than the track photog at Beaver (not an STT guy).
  3. He decided that it was going to be too much of a hassle for little to no gain this year with the economy. Sucks cause he's a good guy and a pretty good photog. The upside is he sold me his trackbike REALLY cheap
  4. I can't speak for current incarnations. It's been 7 or 8 years since I've run freeBSD. The few servers I'm responsible for (aka crap in my lab) is either Redhat based or win2k3 and I'm one of those bigot types that think redhat reaches its peak in version 5.2 and its been bloated ever since 6.0
  5. Never been a real fan of the Mac server platforms and for a long time I was always big on "alternative" OSes. Started out doing admin on OS/2 in the 90's, then moved on to SCO (worst OS EVER), various linux and BSD OS's, etc... I still think my favorite OS for a server platform is FreeBSD.
  6. +1 QFT My first trackday was at mid ohio in the rain. I think the track was dry for maybe all of a session and a half. It was like riding on ICE. Afterwords, the instructor I went down there with told me it was to be considered more of a moral victory than a track day.
  7. I have the 700, and its great. Definitily spend the $7 to get the chin add-on that helps cut down on the wind noise.
  8. +1 Between buying the bike in March and getting it ready in April, I've spent a crapload of cash, and it was all worth it
  9. you were one of the ones that went down saturday? rough day for ducs
  10. I still think thats a bit tin-foil hat-ish myself. I've never seen a problem with it, and I'm certainly not going to attribute staties sitting where they usually do to route posting. Especially after talking to a few coworkers who live there and were nice enough to tell me that about 2-3 state troopers live right off 212 in the Bolivar area.
  11. show up with a brand new set of PP 2ct's and I can assure you that you will pass.

If I ride tomorrow, it depends on A) how bad this cold is kicking my ass in the morning B) if my suspension gets here.
  15. Then why say double the limit ?
  16. I can pm u the route. The sweepers are every bit of 120+ w/ knee down, 100 easy without. Still fun at 55.
  17. Not sure what my Easter plans are, but if the roads don't get crappy, I could be up for a ride. Who knows, maybe I'll feel a bit saucy, put on the power ranger suit, and do bad things on that section of road you guys got followed on.
  18. oh, and I have to order course materials in the next day or so, so I need a final count if anyone else is coming.
  19. Think of it as a try before you buy. Technically that was only free for 6 months, so you need to write me a check.
