Wow, I didn't think the wait was that long for the crossbreed. I guess his business has really picked up. Thats about a typical wait from the bigger name places like Milt Sparks. I think Fist-Inc says 5-6 weeks for their stuff, but I had my last one back in like 3 weeks. I order only the ultra thin kydex varients from them, so they are probably less time to make than the leather ones. Who did you do the class through? Was it one of the PRO instructors or was it New Albany ? I've heard a lot of good stuff about the PRO guys. In fact, I was going to do my instructor certification through them, but their classes never fit my schedule and I ended up doing it with my rifle coach.

I've been meaning to try the crossbreed. My buddy has one for a fullsize 1911, I think I'll borrow it and carry my TRP around for a while. It is a knock off of The Answer from tucker gun leather, but the quality seems pretty high and the price is right. Since we're on the subject of ccw, flounder mentioned to me that we should get a group together for a class. I was thinking perhaps a class in the spring, and donate the proceeds to a charity.

Like I said, I need to take you shopping for a proper holster. There are far better alternatives in terms of retention, concealment, comfort and general use. Of course, none of those alternatives are as cheap as Uncle Mike's. For the money, you really can't beat Don Hume holsters. My personal preference is stuff from Fist Inc., but I'm a big kydex junky. I make it up to Toledo fairly often, so I can show you some different brands you may want to try. In fact, I'll be up next weekend for a carbine shoot, but I doubt I'll have any free time.

I used to really get pissed off about the whole spanish thing in the US. If you come to my country to live and work, learn the language. However, the more I travel internationally, the less I get pissed about things like signs in spanish and stuff like that. I'm in Portugal right now, and as a foreigner that doesn't speak Portugese, I'm rather grantful about the amount of shit that is printed in English and the amount of people here that speak English, cause I'd be fucked without that. To my credit, I have made an attempt at picking up some Portugese, but so far my Portugese lessons have only been from a Brasilian stripper that didn't speak English all that well.
