  1. Anything short of Raid 1+0 is really uninteresting.
  2. Looks like a couple of us are skipping out of work early to get a ride in. Tentative 3:30 meetup at the Sheets on the corner of 619/241 (right off I77). Ride through akron to the valley then qsl. Dinner then home before it gets too friggin cold. If anyone cares to join, PM me your number before 3pm.
  3. A shotgun won't set off the explosives. Only a high velocity (over 2500 fps I think) fmj rifle round. Although you could save the shotgun for the air mortor my buddy brings over to shoot soda cans.
  4. Tannerite. I believe it was shot with a 20" AR-15.
  5. 2006 party 2007 http://s204.photobucket.com/albums/bb175/timb7/Oktoberfest%2007/?action=view&current=MVI_0593.flv http://s204.photobucket.com/albums/bb175/timb7/Oktoberfest%2007/?action=view&current=MVI_0613.flv http://s204.photobucket.com/albums/bb175/timb7/Oktoberfest%2007/?action=view&current=MVI_0641.flv We're definately borderline "hold my beer and watch this."
  6. Seeing Pedrosa fuck up like that makes me smile.
  7. I drove by yesterday. It looks like it'll be ready in a few weeks. I think we'll have to do a frozen buckeye bike night by the time this place opens.
  8. your employer hiring security or network types by chance?
  9. From what my dad said tonight, it could have been the alcohol, but was more likely recklessness with the throttle hand. This happened right after my family split off from the group after their lunch stop (some bar that is known for its fried bologna). I guess the guy leading the pack was riding way too fast all day, and this guy was trying to catch up by riding even more carelessly. Shitty situation regardless and way too close to home for me.
  10. Don't know him, but he was riding with a group that included my dad and a couple of my relatives yesterday. He went the wrong way after they left some stop and was trying to catch up. Too close to home for me. http://www.ohio.com/news/break_news/10312637.html
  11. time? route? whats the deal man!!
  12. I'm curious as do the depth they go with certain things. Granted, at lot of that various on the class attendees and their interactions with the instructor. I'd like to do something indepth with sql injection based hacks. Pen-testing really isn't a regular part of my job, but thats an area that really interests me. Nothing like watching a guy create an admin account on a machine from a webpage login prompt.
  13. Oh, and I would like to compare notes with you after the course to see what material they covered that SANS didn't in their course.
  14. I'm thinking of doing the SANS conference in New Orleans in January for their forensics class. My only problem is that will probably conflict with my CISSP studying. I'm supposed to do that in jan/feb, assuming I finish my CCSP in December. I was wanting to skip the vendor cert, but my boss has a difference of opinion. Next year should be the year of certs for me, CISSP to start, the the GIAC forensics, and rounding out with CCNP and CCDP. I wonder if they actually expect me to have time to work. Oh yeah, and throw in a month or two of extra travel while I train our Regional Security Officers in Incident Handling.
  15. Are you trying to organize one in Columbus or something? I already have my GCIH, but I might consider the CEH as well. Just depends on what my management wants me to focus on. I have a feeling that I'll be pushed down the path of a forensics cert.
  16. I was going to mention the wife, but I recall you mentioning a bad divorce or something so I didn't want to bring it up. Wow, a right wing kinda guy like yourself importing a wife from Cali, didn't see that one coming. We definately need to get together for some riding or trigger time here soon.
  17. I ran a few shoots with Bulletcamp. There are some swell people at GTA, but I don't fit in with a lot of them. Too much politics and trying to look the part. I think the last time I saw you was either Tusco or the fairwell dinner we did for TFL with Mark and Dave.
  18. You didn't used to post on thefiringline.com did you? If so, then I believe we've had dinner and shot together on 1 or 2 occasions.
  19. tsk tsk. I got a good 200+ miles of riding in on Saturday.
  20. The class today went great. Ended up with a lot of last minute cancelations, but that is to be expected. Covered all the Basic PIstol core material, added in some from the personal protection course, and I did cover some more advanced topics/demos of things like low light techniques, the El Presidente drill, the box drill, weak hand, shooting from retention, etc... Also got to cover my wholely inappropriate and crude analogy for helping correct issues people have with keeping proper sight alignment/focusing on the front sight while pulling the trigger. Unfortunately, I've had the onset of a cold for about 2 days, and I think a combination of all that sinus drainage and talking for 12 hours will net me a pretty bad sore throat by morning.
  21. I was thinking more johnny douchebag, but I can compromise.
  22. Your opinion has been registered and ignored. Thank you for posting.
