  1. That is a really nice bike. NOt trying to be a cheap dick but if you will include the Ohlins rear shock for the 5500 price I'll take it. As long as you accept $100 bills 55 to be exact.
  2. Skip I am stuck at work today but I live on the north end to off of 161 and maple canyon. You anywhere near there?
  3. Zecho, did you get it all figured out?
  4. Sweet topic! I'll try and make it out tonight.
  5. I remember the cones being not in a straight line but spread a bit and having to go around the outside of them. I remember it being the hardest part.
  6. If you cant do the U-turn good luck with the cones!
  7. What was his reason for you getting in the back of the cruiser? The one time I ever got pulled over I found myself in the back of the cruiser too. I had accidentally left my license at home that day so they put me back there to verify my information. I think he was just being nice so I could have a seat. It was hot out and I had the leather jacket on. I am not mad at the guy or anything, but not having your plate in the exact spot that it needs to be in and having it hidden are two completely different things. No my exaust is not factory but it is not as loud as any harley I have ever heard, so I would prefer to be left alone. Laws are made for a reason, the license plate one is so it is visible to a cop that may need to identify you, that was the intent of the law nothing else. Some cops want to take every word in the ORC literally and not the intent of the law. Maybe I should do the same and write "the rear" on my bike and mount the plate there. Maybe I should rebadge my exhaust maybe something that says "factory pipe" Maybe I am on to something. So I can say "it is a factory pipe" or "my plate is on the rear"
  8. For low speed stuff I like to let the clutch slip a bit others like the trailbraking either way works fine. No you cannot push the bike through there, but you can ride it through the course. You have to counter-lean the bike, what that means is you lean the bike but keep your body upright it will make the turn much sharper. Watch this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1BJ-RgcU1I
  9. I got the stop on 71N between morse and 161 a week or two ago. I was going under the limit in the far right lane during "rush hour" I got the riot act about my license plate position, "indicators", license plate light, yada yada yada. As I sat in the back of the cruiser. I thought I could see my plate very well and thought that the mighty sun was bright enough to illuminate the plate. Oh well I got no tickets and haven't rode since. I think I am done with this shit, I am just going to drive the civic all the time.
  10. the clutch switch thing is a safety measure for people that disable or remove their kickstand switch so it doesnt lurch forward when you try and start it in gear. I am going to guess that his clutch lever is way out of adjustment.
  11. if it was your kickstand switch it would not make it 1" inch. The second you put it into gear it would shut off. If it was your clutch switch it would not start in the first place because you have to pull it in just to start it.
  12. use the ducati for picking up dudes and the gixxer for everything else.
  13. Are you sure you need it done? Check out some honda forums because alot of suzuki guys take them in only to find out they are still within spec.
  14. I did mine myself on my gixxer so if anyone wants to do it themselves I will help out.
  15. did you install them youself or send them to get done?
  16. Fuck the dog... find the asain chick in the avatar Why would you fuck the dog?
  17. Just use a 6" socket extention and a hammer.
  18. thanks for the laughs. Im glad I dont share an office anymore.
  19. I know a lawyer that rides so maybe he would be someone to talk to.
  20. They do have a little something to do with height as if there is too much preload the bike will not sag with you sitting on it or under its own weight. People will argue what the correct sag is depending on your riding style but usually around an inch maybe a little more. How much lower do you want your bike to sit? When I first got my bike there was no sag and would I would be stopped the seat would be all up in my nutz. Now with 30mm of sag, not so much
  21. Is that a drink holder i see on your bike? I too would like to have an emergency caffine supply with me at all times
  22. I think he just wants to adjust the preload on the rear shock. The tool used to adjust those "large nuts" is called a spanner wrench and good luck getting it on there without removing the shock. Alot of people use a screwdriver and a hammer, but alot of people are not very smart either. So I would recommend using an extention from a socket set and hammering on that, because the end of that will not damage the large nuts on the coil. When I got my bike a fat guy must have owned it because when I got on the bike I had no sag at all and I adjusted mine this way until I got the proper amount of sag.
  23. how much for the dog in the backround?
