  2. Those are nice and all, BUT $139 is steep. As mine cost $.25 to make and work just as well, and pack just as small if not smaller if I cut the can down some. Yes there are excellent products out there you can buy for lots of money. There are also alternatives out there that can be made for next to nothing..Oh and not that I think it will happen, BUT if the end of the world as we know it happens what is easier to find paper/wax or a msr fuel canister? Gas/kero?

And if I ever need to resort to that, Im sure there will be plenty of cans, cardboard, and wax around. Until then, there is no way in hell your little can will boil water as fast as a regular cam stove. Just saying. They are cool and all and I have made them as well but when Im camping/hunting, I want something quick.

  3. Max speed on those things is about 20mph. I can tell you that when you are behind one its pretty obvious if you could go under one or not. Like I said. I swear you could drive a small truck under some of them.

Considering that looked like a highway or 2 lanes each direction, there would be no reason for him to switch lanes until turning at which point they basically need to come to a complete stop and then cut across traffic when nothing is coming.

  4. I run a WhisperLite Universal Hybrid Stove.

The hybrid-fuel WhisperLite Universal stove delivers the ease and simmering capabilities of canister fuel, and switches easily over to liquid fuels for longer trips, cold-weather, and international use. It’s also the lightest stove in its class, offering excellent stability and easy maintenance, adding to the reasons this could be the only stove you’ll ever need.

Hybrid-Fuel Performance: Patent pending AirControl™ technology creates the optimal fuel/air mix for top-notch performance with canister fuel, white gas, kerosene and unleaded gasoline.

Canister Liquid Feed: Delivers better cold weather and low-fuel performance with a more consistent output over the life of each canister. Canister stand Included.

Lightweight: Aluminum mixer tube, extra-stable stainless steel legs and refined design keep weight to a minimum.

Easy Transitions: Liquid and canister fuel couplers pair with fuel-specific jets for quick and easy transitions.

  5. Well I havent posted here much so.

Last weekend my teamate and I took 3rd place in the Reade Range Spring Sniper Team Challenge. One stage also included a single shot at 1,000 yards at a 5" circle. (Wind was about 10-14mph) Only one team from each relay with the closest to center won points. I won it for our relay. Then the person with the closest to the center for the match won a Grand River Tactical Load Bearing Vest. I won it :)

  7. Im still waiting to hear if its totaled or not. Spoke with the bodyshop today and they said they are right at 10K in damages but that the system has not flashed about possible total yet so who knows. They are hoping to have the estimate done tomorrow morning to submit to Insurance. Then it will be up to insurance to decide if its totaled. Im guessing it will just squeak by without being totaled. As much as I would like a new vehicle, the difference between paying $500 deductible or $550 a month for the next few years for a car payment, I would say paying the deductible is the better way to go.

  8. This, and the rebates out there are huge right now, however Ford did away with rebates+0% at the same time FYI, so having a Xpin or A/Zpin is crucial if you are set on 0%. I found that out the hard way 3 weeks ago trying to buy a new dually. When we bought my wifes car last March they gave us both, this year they are not.

But that dealer Craig used was way cheaper than even Ricart on new and Ricart usually has an extra 500 in dealer specific rebates and still cheaper up there. Craig and I researched a lot for a long time, and I told him about Bowdog and his Ecoboost and hauling ability, and that's what he ended up with too. Like he said he read a ton of info and did a ton of research on the MPG and it's pretty solid on his Ecoboost. Plus they are dope trucks lol.

I was there yesterday and 0% is still going on.. check Fords page today and its still going on as well.

  9. This but the engines did not stall. The aircraft reached its critical angle of attack and the airflow over the wings was disrupted causing the plane to stall not the engines.

    ^ This.

My guess was that cargo shifted and or something stuck in the elevator. Sad situation. If they determine it was due to insecure cargo, someone is going to take a beating.

  10. I'd ask for a second opinion. :D

Glad you okay, man. If you need a friend pin let me know I can get you one if you think it'll save you any money. Also, hit up Blue03636. He just bought a nice F150 and saved a shit ton of money.

Whats a friend pin? If it will save me money, hook a brother up.

  11. You're still gonna take an enormous kick in the nuts on initial depreciation.

Actually no.. 2 things.. my truck has a good resale value.

Second. it doesnt really matter. The only reason ill be buying is if they decide mine is totaled.

So, I actually took a kick to the head yesterday when a guy removed the nose of my truck at 70mph. just waiting now to hear if its totaled or not. If its totaled, daddy gets a new ride, if its not, then I pay the deductable and get my old ride back.

Pretty lucky actually, if I pulled out 1 second earlier, I'd probably be dead and so would he. We both walked away. He was fine except for a sore back, I walked away with some bruising/swelling and a nice concussion. CT scans came back clear though.
