  1. i was very slow.. i had a hard time keeping faith in the pavement with the overcast shadows and not being able to tell which parts of the track were dry... Predator went out after flounder left and said that he was going way slower than he had last time he was there

I agree. there were a few laps where my confidence increased. However, around 7:30, I decided to call it a day. it was getting dark and I don't know if the track was getting cold or what, but I started slipping more frequently. The day was basically a waste. Flush $150.

  2. I hear ya on that one. I felt as if I got stiffed and I didn't even pay, can't imagine how you and Flounder felt. It was cool shooting the breeze with Karla and your buddy. Hopefully you and Flounder can battle it out with better conditions later on this year.

Glad you had a decent time. I don't know if we'll be scheduling another shoot out...end of season is near for me. Football is about to begin. At least this sport can be played in the rain.

  3. Nobody won. I applaud Zorro for waiting it out. I think he will progress in his riding ability due to the conditions. Flounder in his defense wasn't willing to play on the sketchy surface.

I saw after it had dried and such within that last hour and honestly, you all were really just riding around. Not able to set times typical of a regular day. Wasn't a fair playing ground as when they both were out, it was shit. A good number of guys packed up and went home. Flounder isn't a pussy for doing so and Zorro can't say he beat him due to it wasn't head to head.

So, until next time... Although, I do think Zorro gets to make a tee shirt since Aaron had one made... Vagina comments are welcome as jabbing remarks and friendly competition, but I just want to say that yesterday wasn't a good day to measure anything...

I agree. The weather didn't permit a competition. Flounder wins for best slam with his tshirt. I'm disappointed he wouldn't even take a "stroll in the park" lap with me. I've known the guy for years...listen to all his track talk...and then he wont even take one lap with me. Oh well, maybe next year.

  4. well i actually had a good time today even with the rain. felt really comfortable again and was pretty much at 100% by around 7pm.

management was OK. control riders were decent with the time they had to scramble together. only thing i didn't like was i had a control rider tap his tail when i was still warming up. i guess it would be hard to tell though with this format. i ended up passing him later on though so its all good. corner workers needed to be better (did we even have any???) rider down in the racing line at the keyhole and only a waving yellow? that didn't make any sense to me as to why they didn't red flag it...

regardless it was was a little eye opening seeing him lying there as to how dangerous this really is. i believe i saw him walking out of the medic center so i assume he is ok.

didn't get a chance to ride with flounder, almost rode with zorro but the guy was down in the keyhole so that was cut short. followed jess for a few laps and she looked very good, although im not sure she realized it was me.

Yeah, I was surprise that only a waiving yellow flag was present when a bike/rider was dead smack in the middle of the keyhole entrance. I wasn't sure what to think. Apparently, the guy did an endo and the bike landed on his chest. His wife asked me "who went down?" when I got off the track. I described the bike to her and you could see the tears in her eyes. The waterworks really started once she confirmed it and her kids caught word...all 5 of them. :(

Anyway, that rider was ok. He was very sore.

Did I mention the rain sucks!?

  5. I hate rain at Mid. Track day was ruined. We, or I should say "I", got a few decent laps in. Flounder, the flat fish who's scared of rain, packed up his shat and went home early. You paid $150, you packed up your stuff, you hauled it up there, you unloaded the bike, you started your generator, you put your warmers on...and then gave up.

Flounder's been talking smack for a month now...which I like and is all in good fun...I wish he didn't give up so soon.

As for the track, I was slipping a bunch at first...it was basically like me going for a sunday ride in my neighborhood with flipflops on. The line started to dry up some and there was decent riding for a bit.

They need to put a roof over that damn track...or fix the pavement.

  6. You guys are gonna have fun in the rain! GOOOOOOOOD Luck!!

Seriously, be really careful guys and gals. The track is bad in the wet. It really is and I feel that if I was riding as a customer (MAY do this in September), I would stay in my trailer until it dried out...

F***ing rain. These track day schools need to sell insurance for track day rain outs. WTF. The weather is the absolute worse thing about track days.

  7. so I will do my serious post the 190 is for the 6" rim like your r1, on the narrower rim of the r6 it should be a bit taller, i believe it will have more contact on the ground at a lean
190's have a larger contact patch than a 180. But, I don't know if you'll want to run a 190/55 with a 5.5" rim. The tire will actually flatten out and your turn in will be affected.

If you ran a 190/60 or 190/65 then the tire will retain the taller profile but also be physically larger, effectively reducing the trail of your front forks. This would result in quicker turn in, but reduced mid corner stability. So if you wanted to run a 190 for the larger contact patch (more grip) you'd have to lower your rear ride height to retain the same handling characteristics of the bike.

Also 190's are heavier than 180's and you'll probably notice the bike being a bit more sluggish with them.

Ah, finally...the type of info I was looking for. Thanks!

  8. you get 2 maybe 3 days on this.

if im you i buy this because is good price, but i wont run on this all season, they cost too much.i run on michelin they cheaper $ 325 set.

i just put ohlins TTX suspenssion on my bike so the rebound is set up for my weight and michelin slicks.if you use different tires every time the bike have different feel.if you have stock suspenssion then not much you can do.

The 190 rear...what will this do for handling?

  9. :nono:

    Chicken fucker!

I bet he thought the "kill" switch fired the missiles

    The list gets longer.

seriously, all you f'ers are know-it-alls...never making a mistake or at least admitting to it. Yota's got 10 bikes...only a 50cc still runs. Stick it.

As for you shitty, you're just a shitty f'er...nuff said.

  10. I pled I'm going to Dublin's Mayor Court if I don't pay this and I don't stand a chance there, so here's my money...now leave me alone!! :(

Ah, speeding was your first mistake. And that was your second! Should've fought it. I would've showed up as a character witness...in the court's favor!

Don't speed in my neighborhood! Again, you've been warned!

I was speeding in Sinner's hood...and they got me...just like they got QueenBee!

On a side note, the Delaware Deputy was really nice.
