    Oh yeah, I agree. I would never go on these big rides as a noob and learned the hard way with a couple of CORE guys after having 10 years under my belt that some guys are WAY faster than me and trying to keep up will always result in disappointment or disaster. I'd rather ride with a few guys that I know and trust to not have anything to prove to anybody. On these big rides, there are too many big egos and it always ends up being a race, Fuck that.
