  1. Its going to change from 40 cars to 60, drag radial and only slicks, to we will make exceptions if... 10 sec cars to 11 sec cars etc etc etc. You have to find a date that works, collect the money, and go... or it will never happen.

I asked people around work who was willing to pay $100 to race. Found some people, paid, and raced for a few hours. There was no what do you guys want to do. It was simply hand me your money and show up on this date. If you make it more complicated than that you will hate yourself.

Try Thompson-just ran a last second rental there Sunday-its was $1300 for 6 hours!!! Good track, great prep, much better than 42. There was 15 cars so we did 90$ a guy-got a full day in-maybe the best rental I have ever been to and it was set up in 4 days.

  2. Well-we finally got to the track when it was not snowing-

First pass off the street-13.7@115. Boost is 100% not co-operating. Long story short-and 8 boost check passes later-I took all the electronic mumbojumbo off, and used a boost controller I build in 2002-NOW it holds boost mint! the hell... No I can tune-

First pass @24psi 11.6@130, lean up top, out of injector. Up the regulator and pull out the lap top-3 passes and one hot lap later, she went 10.8@140. 1.80 60 foot, on dry rotter 22inch slicks. 30psi, there is still a LOT left on the table, and it literally has 5 minutes worth of a tune. Drove to the track, and back home- so I am not complaining! I am still shocked this motor, and entire built has come together so well.

Thank to GrassRoots and Miguel for the help in the pits today. More to come when its warm again.

  3. So whats the difference between these and the current Cobra Jets? I am not a big ford guy and just curious. Our local Ford Dealership had one of the Cobra Jets with the snake decal along the side of it a few weeks back.

Could be NA, could have a blower. There are a few different CJ options...

    Are those BW EFR turbos?

    YES

Supposedly they are stock turbo's borrowed from a Focus ST.

    NEGATIVE

  4. Yep how do u like thompson. Starting jan I have a goo schedule where I'm not working 7 days a week spring to fall? Id love to hit one of these 8.90 class races.

Its a good track-nice and flat, prep is on par with Norwalk TnT. I think they spray the 1/4 for the Renegade class.

  5. That was the only one I knew of. I wish I was a lot closer to thompson id love to run the 8.90 class. Looks so damn fun.

Yeah Renegade did a great job with that!

We are lucky- Thompson, Quaker, D42, Norwalk. Ridiculous.

  6. ultimate sleeper...I would never guess the thing would be fast if it wasn't for the slicks... usually first thing I look at the car.. tires, check for fuel system, and then inter cooler.. after that I be clueless.. ever thought about blacking out the IC?

Yes, but unfortunately anything I drive anymore is assumed to be fast. It's not a grudge race car, so there is not much point in hiding anything at this point. We did an AWD hatch that hid the intercooler-and has a stock 1.5 inch exhaust with a cut-out. Was as quiet as a stock Colt, but went 9's on Chinese street tires. Hilarius!

This car was just though together with crap I had laying around-so it is what it is-literally.

I know its a trek for u but I believe edgewater is running Sunday.

Thats a trek! I am trying to get into a rental at Thompson on Sunday. (NE OHIO 1/4 MILE track. We are lucky to have 4 1/4 milers tr4acks within an hour-so there is usually something going on somewhere...

  7. Hello-

I have a set of 17 inch Black BSA 364's for sale. Original Powder Coated black, not painted. One has slight rash-wheels are 8/10, tires all have plenty of tread left. Currently has 225/45/17 on the front and 215/45/17 on the rear

Asking $350 OBO picked up or comparable trades.

  8. Snow fail.

To everyone, my apologies. The forecast said 0% chance of anything, and even while it was snowing, the radar still showed clear.

Those that pre-registered, as I stated at the track, will be refunded half of their entry fee later this week once I deposit the money in the bank.

I think we'll try again next year, but move to later in the day like 1-5pm or something. I left the track around 130ish and by 230 on the way back, it was dry, sunny, and in the high 40s.

Thanks again everyone for making the trek out and sliding around. I'm also going to address with the owner the track prep so that it's like what we've had in previous years.

Yeah I was pouring by me on the way there. By the time we got back, we took the car out for a spin and was hooking 3rd on he street at 25psi (600ish WHP) Oh well, thanks for hosting!
