  1. After Racing both a way turned up GTR, and a Way turned up UGR Lambo- Its hard to say which way I'd go-the GTR is SO god damn consistent its stupid. And when you get the lauch control set up (see-tuned) right-its about the best you will see stop light to stop light.

On the other hand, the lambo on kill from 80 (properly set up. both those lambos seemed to have issues) is a handfull to say the least. But-you can much dig the car, and the GTR hooks up quite a bit better in all conditions.

Jamie can comment here, but we had this conversation before- and he said he'd rock the GTR @ 1200ish whp over the Lambo @ 1550. And, I agree with him.

  2. Maybe I'm blinded by the fact that I've always wanted a Viper, but taking in consideration that it's a Chrysler product with black paint from 1994 and has lived it's entire life in that blazing hot environment, the clearcoat issues don't surprise me. The interior does look pretty nasty, but it's hard to tell the actual severity of it just from pictures, it may clean up well with a detail from a knowledgable person.

As far as the maintenance history, it's the original owner selling it so if he treated it well there should be records of it. If there is no paper trail of the maintenance, I think I'd keep searching, but the cosmetic issues wouldn't bother me for the price.

I was not really "searching", I just saw it on the side of the road and checked it out. Hens the question "is it a deal"

Don't waste your fucking money on an RT/10... GTS or bust.

I am super Ghey for RT/10's

  3. With paint like that I would be worried the oil in the motor was never changed and that the rest of the car was as beat as the paint.

Thats my worry. Like I said I saw it in Key Largo-I sat int he thing-ti needs TLC. And a Viper IMO should not need ANY TLC!!!

I mean its hard to find 94 Dodge COLTS that beat...:lolguy:

Actually saw this car IN PERSON in Key Largo last week. Got me thinking....

Called and he waned 22k. I said nah and went back to GTL. No "rust", body and interior is ruff. Its obvious the car was not well maintained. But, for 15-16k cash and grab???? :dumb:

    Thoughts?

    Opinions?

  5. Thanks Tilley

Since I broke my Driod, I dont know/think my rock can do it-or at least not easily.

  6. After a LONG night at LIV Nightclub in Miami, I wake up early enough to catch my favorite cheap-o breakfast on South Beach @ Johnny Rockets. Im still half in the bag with a bag full of food when I see Jeremy Clarkson and James May putz by. I immediatly turn around and yell "James!"- He replies with " Ah good chap-first time someone calls my name standing next to this bloak (sp?) "

Ended up walking from 7th and Ocean to 18th chumming it up with them. I didnt notice chase cams till the corner of 12th First questions-Favortie car for each of them. It ended with talking about El Mickpherson and Kelly Osbore (both at Liv last night).

On my walk back to the hotel, I was thinking of 1000 other questions I'd would have rather asked Jeremy or James. What would you have asked?

  7. 200 on a bike....no thank you

I am 1000% more confident near the limiter in 6th than 200mph in any car I have been in near those speeds. Colts, Supras, Vettes, Vipers, and Lambos included-although a Lambo is REALLY fucking stable at speed.

Its odd- but its Calimg-all you hear is the wind, and your thoughts-your so locked in to whats ahead you don't have time to worry about anything else. It literally forces you to forget everything else. I am sure Josh can attest-there is a reason Top End runs are so addicting.

  8. Thanks Josh I was hoping you would chime in, let me know when you come up to Ohio, I'd like to have you check my bike over before I go out there making an ass of myself. The shortest I can put the bike is 66" with the arm that's on it. Do you recommend running a 200 over a 180/190 tire? I would really like to see 220+ to be honest, especially with the power I'll be making, on C16 the bike will make stupid amount of power. I may even add meth this season to keep things cool.

When I was talking about the Michelin tire I was talking about the tire Ryan Schnitz just went 6.90@203 on. Not sure what series that is. I just want a tire that won't come apart on the big end.

Where can I go to obtain a rule book? How many passes are required to obtain my license. This is kind of a big deal, my whole family wants to come out and see if I can break the 200+ mph.

    Thanks again Josh.

Pay the membership fee, they mail you a rule book. May as well since you will have to pay anyways but I still have mine from 2005 (prob a bit out of date?)

The only tire I have really seen come apart for street bikes going 200-240 are the Shinko's. I'd personally be confident on Michelin's or Dunlaps.
