  1. Modular homes are as easy to finance as regular stick built houses. Manufactured homes aka doublewides are a little harder to finance through some lenders.

I agree when comparing to a double wide, but in comparing a Mod to a regular Detached Primary, the rates and terms are different, period. And in this market, resale is not so great as well. But, to each his own.

  2. Well, My theory is that the aluminum is a junk casting, plus the lack of threads, in my mind would be aided my the plug being UNDER torqued. The higher the trq value, the more you stretch and stress the thread.

Obviously, this is all relevant to how stressed that thread already was before you got there. It seems one idiot doing a tune up can botch this all up.

  3. like already stated, 2002 and up heads have 10 thread heads, some 2002 / and before all had 4 thread heads.

time sert kit is the only way to fix it correctly

Ok, but what I am asking is should this be done as a preventative maintenance, or IF its an issue, fix it then?

And 4 threads? Really? What was ford thinking!?

  4. Troyer has an in house Dyno. A good customer of mine has had them do about 5 trucks for him, including a V10.

This guy is about 75 years old, and anal as hell. I seen his dyno sheets before and after and it was almost 100hp

He also logged 3.5 mpg better on the trip home than the trip there.

Wow. Is that JUST in the tune-or int he parts as well? Thats CRAZY for NA gains-even with a V10

  5. very common issue with these, doesnt matter how many miles... if they dont blow out, they take the threads out with them when you change them.

    Some are not savable..

I may be picking up a V10 soon.

Do you advise pulling them out, and say applying a LIBERAL coat of anti-seize, and install an a lower TRQ value? Or, leave it be and PRAY.

  6. Girlfriends family has a 2004 F250 with the v10...reliable as fuck. They use it to pull a rather large horse trailer and haul all the necessary horse items (tons of feed, lumber, etc) and it runs like a champ. These people are NOT car people so I'm sure it has been neglected and it doesnt make a sound of protest. 80,000 hard miles.

The only complaint, as everyone else has said, is shitty MPG. I'd buy one in a hearbeat if I needed that much of a truck. My f-150 with the 5.4l is more than enough truck for towing cars, bikes, boats, etc.

I cant pass on the deal- thats why I ask. And If I was worried about MPG's, I'd sell all my cars and buy a fucking Prius. Fuck that. Fuck mother nature. :fuckyeah:

    Details if it does down.

  7. I don't buy that one bit......thats a ton of pwr from a a tuner, exhaust and CAI. Go on any V10 forum and no one sees that kind of pwr out of anything besides a blower. The stock exhaust flows really well already and a tuner/ cai isn't going to net you anywhere close to that. Might feel alittle, but nothing like that.

I wouldn't even expect the power gains, but if I pick it up, I will be looking to help the MPG
