  1. 204 on the Busa, but no way I could do it in a mile. It takes FOREVER to go from 185 to 200+. Thats on 171whp. I'd assume you'd need 185+whp, and the perfect gearing to get there. I am also 17/43 with 11k reline. You need a suit-a lanyard, cotter pin'd axles...not much on a bike.

I've been North of 200 in the Colt as well, butt hats a different story!

  2. The cashier does need some type lesson to be taught, he may have went to far. But definitely not 2 felonies. And his past should really not be an issue.

And to jp, no fight i" have ever been in has been "done" when supposedly "done". And when the fight was "done" i never hung around to find out if it really was.

    Maybe I've just been lucky?

Maylay type fights is one thing-but if its one on one, or one on 2, if you put the guy to sleep, I dont go kick his face into the curb, and we are either the only people there, or the other people keep the crowd in check. That's just the way its worked out for me.

  3. How the fuck can you press charges on the guy?

She hopped the counter with EVERY intent to assault the guy further with physical force, regardless of what he did, it was self defense.

They are all dumb, ignorant people and deserve to be punished, but

    1) The guy served 10 years for shooting and killing someone in HS

    2) When he 2 FEMALES were already down, he hit them several more times-fracturing their skull, breaking bones...ect. People like this need to be put the sleep, not vindicated.

Any fight I have been in, when someone is done, its DONE. Its pussy shit to keep going when someone is laid out-period. Let alone some FEMALES.

Does he have the right to defend himself? Sure. But as a man, if you cant take care of 2 chics half your fucking size, your no man in my book.

  4. Guess so....maybe because no company makes a clutch for a 4clyinder that can handle any sort of power in a normal configuration lol. Look at that clutch for example, its rated to 575hp and over 400ft/lbs of tq, yet couldnt hold 16lbs on a 62mm turbo for more then 1 pass. That was my only pass ever made on 16lbs and that clutch, all other passes were on 6-10. Now maybe some company makes one that holds up for evo's, sti's, dsm's that isn't a puck, but for a Honda its puck or bust. The sad part is the only option left is a twin disk.

    Get a heavier pressure plate.

I have rocked 2600/6 puck combos north of 700whp and 500ft lbs....

  5. april is too soon for all the slow projects around here...

I've done 2 motor swaps, one being a full built motor, int he past month-two evenings a week in my spare time.

Your either motivated, or your not. Its not the car's fault. Unless your fabrication the majority of your build, its a matter of Turing the bolts....

  6. yeah that 700whp is cool until the engine lets go. then you're out half the price of the car just to get it fixed.

its a porsche, not some 4g63 dreamland you are living in where you can get a core motor for peanuts or back alley cleveland handjobs.

A 996 will live longer than you at 700whp. Sad, but true, just ask your doctor. Ask anyone who has owned a mild 996/997 if they have had reliability issues. Hell, Jamie's old 996 was a slut, raced all over the damn country, sold several times, and is still faster than anything you have or wil ever own.

After 2 years of flogging my him and then Cavin, I don't think it had as much as the plugs changed. :fuckyeah:

  7. when jp mentioned 996.

    I love you, but you're a retard.

i like porsche, but if i were faced with getting a 996, or c5, i would get the c5. mods much cheaper.

tell me you wouldn't spend more getting a 996 to 400whp vs getting a vanilla c5 to 400whp.

A set of turbos, a tune, and injectors gets you to 700 mutherfuckign WHP on a 996. If your Savy, all can be had for 5k.

PM Justin on CR if you don't believe me. I guess its easy to say 996>c5 when you have literally no idea what the fuck you are talking about.

  8. 1. Have job that pays $4000/month

    2. Buy Lambo, get loan for $3500/month

    3. Live in house with 16 other guys, pay $100/month in rent

    4. Spend $100/week on valet parking your car in front of club and buying rounds of lemon drop shots for people in the club

    5. Live the fucking dream

Wait-So this is doing it wrong?!

  9. I drove a 996 Turbo and, I have to say, I was thoroughly unimpressed, which was kind of shocking.

If you drove a 996 or 997 with a Switzer P800 package, this would be a NO BRAINIER.

Its your your time to come up north and I will get you in one. The difference is unexplainable really.

  10. So I'm thinking about doing a 5 speed swap in my 86 monte carlo ss. I've done some looking and most people are using the T5 from f bodies. I've also read somewhere that the T5 doesn't handle higher hp very well (I've got a 355ci roller that should put down around 450ftlbs according to John Lingenfelters engine building book)

Juts get a T5. I'd bet $1000 your whip would not make 45anything to the wheels. I am sure you'll be fine.

  11. Seeing as how the Dodge steering boxes are known pieces of dogshit, it would be a major problem if this wasn't the case

Oh I know, I figured it would be better, My Dodge 3500 drove just a hair better than my boat-literally.

Just surprised how well it runs/drives for a Truck with almost 200k on it.

  12. Made the move, have the truck. LOVING it thus far. Hoping Gas stays at $3.20 a Gallon. :)

I will say best driving 10 year old 1 ton I have ever driven, must more "consistent" steering input than Dodge and Chevy. But, it ain't a Cummins.. :)

  13. True, but building out the STI is not what I want for it. This would be the only race that would require a cage. AutoX and Track days would not. I want to keep the car as a "street car" and making the back seats unusable isn't in that plan.

Who knows.... maybe by 2013 I'll have a new engine in the WRX and I'll cage that. But it's not likely. And the 818 would probably be gear-limited.

I would also say in your case it would be a waste to tech prep a car thats going to struggle to hit 150 in the mile. For better or for worse, cars are all but purpose built for this.

In addition to the front and side air bags, the Bentley has an overhead airbag as deployable rollover protection. Any idea if the rules would accomodate that? I'm guessing not.

Worse case scenario, Bentley has a bespoke roll cage and seat-mounting bracket made from T45 with heavy density padding, covered in rhino hide with hand stitching. The custom race seat has additional bolster travel but at the expense of deleting the A/C and massage features. And the rear mounting points require de-activating the surround speakers in the rear and blocks the rear passenger reading lights. I realize that it takes sacrifice, but I'm not sure that it would be worth it.

Ship that thing to Texas and Run it there! AS IS

  14. And people forget that if you pass THIS tech, you will be good for pretty much any sanctioned racing body that has a tech, anywhere for all types of racing. Nothing wrong with Safety- and I have found "cheap" alternatives to most of the rules when Ron and I were planning to prep the Colt for the First Hot Rod street car Challenge.
