I wont name names-but I know they guy that TUNED 4 of them. The claim that they are show room stock is BS-but a tune and no other mods can net you 40-45whp in good air. They are VERY particular to intake temps.

I witnessed a stock car go from 436whp, to 479whp with just a tune, on a stock Z06. That car later ran a 10.97

Yes, you can make a 20 year old 2k car with some money into it faster...what is your point? New vs. used isn't exactly a good comparison, now is it? You can also make a Z06 run faster than a ZR1 in a straight line for less money as well. The comparison was that they made the GT-R faster (AND COSTS MORE) than a stock ZR1, which was stupid argument. The fact they didn't address the transmission is even more amazing for that price.

 

I don't personally believe in buying new cars, and believe in bang for the buck. I doubt I will own either car. Both are fast/nice. Both can scoot around the track...the ZR1 can do it faster, the AWD GT-R with a bunch of electronic aids can do it easier - go figure.

You can make a GTR faster than a ZR1 for much less than ZR1 asking price- with a bullet proof trans, or at least a 1000whp proof one. Call Tym at switzerinnovation if you want details-

And to be more specific- it a COMPLETELY different animal-you have to be a licensed driver to get a ZR1 around track fast, and not put it into the tires. The GTR Could be driven my your Grandmother, and pull better lap times than the Zr1. For that-its an amazing car. I do think its an overweight boat, but its an amazing car.

You need to drive both, even stock, and the difference would be easily apparent.

As much as I want to agree with you on the car changing lanes, I can't. They are racing on a public road. That isn't the smartest thing to do. What you just saw is why it isn't the best decision. If you look again, the person that got over almost hit the car in the lane that they came from too. Person probably looked and thought he had time to get over, then they started to race and I'm sure the person didn't look again.

That Faggot came from the FUCKING RIGHT BERM across 4 lanes of traffic-he was driving like an ass-by no means an innocent by-standard. I saw him the whole way- he was WOT in the right berm when Jamie and I were slowing down.

I was close enough that I could have elbowed his mirror, but I knew who was behind me, so I was not going to lift.

Hey now-I tried to dig that night! but I left my aqua treds at home. :bangbang: Yes, any racing in the rain, on a bike, is Sketch-y. But, I love to race, and with Cleveland weather sometimes you got to deal with it. It was 50's and clear LITERALLY 10 seconds before I set up to heat up my tire.

At the end of that run with Jamie I let off because I the bike started sliding instead of turning, and I didnt want to touch the brake for fear of lockin up a wheel or some other shenanigans. Still fun, and IMO much safer than say barreling down a side street or some shit. Not trying to write it off as safe or smart by any means, but there is a reason we all keep it wheels up doing this shit.

Oh well, always next year!!

Yes, its is. The car has never given me any issues. The maintenance done to it was preventative as those things are common failure points with these cars. My only suggestion is show her how BIG of a car it is-some women my not want to drive a big body Bimmer

Have a T4 turbo for same that was custom ordered for a ported 13b. The car was parted out before it was finished-so this turbo was never used. Its has a .60 AR Cold side, with 3inch in, 2 inch outlet, and a V trim compressor wheel (good to 450hp). The turbine is a divided 1.15 AR with 3inch Vband outlet-made for the exhaust flow needs of a rotary. 360 degree race style thrust bearing, assembled by R and R Engine and Machine in Akron, Ohio. This would work well on any rotary, V6's or small displacement V8.

$400 Obo-again this turbo has ZERO miles on the build. Pics upon request.

I think it's BS that people are making such a big deal about this. They 'lied' because they had a patent application that wasn't granted yet. Plus, the engine only PARTIALLY powers the wheels over 70 mph on the highway in order to INCREASE THE FUEL EFFICIENCY! Had they NOT done this people would be crying that GM didn't do everything they could to make the car as efficient as possible.

 

Companies have to keep details about their projects secret in order to protect their intellectual property, until it's protected by patents. So they didn't spell everything out for the general public until the car was released. Big fucking whoop.
