  1. Here's the quote, straight from the horse's mouth (Kean @ BL):

It was a little bit higher RPM than I thought, but still, 20psi @ 2800 RPM on a 76mm turbo isn't too shabby

    Who runs 20 psi anymore?

It makes 30+ in the low 4's, still impressive. We are also still waiting on real world performance though...

  2. Ah, the Boost Logic compound turbo system. Quite an innovation. Full boost by 4.5k RPM anyone?

    Fixed.

Cute, but not mass-producible just yet. And the price is

Glad someone tried it on a gas motor though..

  3. Speak for yourself. I fn hate that company and everything it stands for.

Don't look at me, I have not shoped there in 2 years!

Im just saying, general goods (like most clothing, housewares items...ect) are affordable due to outsources labor. Hell, even a FORD is cheap due to outsourced labor!

  4. Really??

The Red was designed for 30 psi plus. FP doesn't even recommend the turbo if you don't intended on running 30 or higher. Mine is set at 30 without problem. I am actually going to bump it up to 35 with meth or race gas this year. I know of a couple cars that have a ton of hours and passes on 40 psi without a failure yet. One of the guys that helped test the turbo actually had a shaft speed sensor, and it wasn't really out of hand on high boost. I wish I could find the thread on Evom I am talking about.

On a green, white, or stock I agree with you though.

 It's mad tyte JDM yo!

Hmm, that turbine wheel is on that Red? And they're still standard bearing correct?

  5. I was actually kidding.

63 lb. per minute and stealth as hell.

It can't hold a candle to an HTA35r on say a shearer manifold, but I am making more power than a lot of guys on older standard 35Rs.

I wasnt. :D Its nice if your going for some sort of stock appearing record, but the shaft RPM gets really out of control north of 25psi. They don't last very long at higher boost levels because of it.

Just tell them its a JDM turbo when you pop your hood.

  6. dont get me wrong i understand your point, im just kind of anti harley.. well not really even that...

cause i like some harleys, yours included..

i jsut dont understand why they are priced at what they are.

you can get a bike with more technology put in to it, more features, more reliable, faster, etc etc..

for a 1/2 of the price. i understand its an attitude, but do you really need to pay for that attitude.. .i dunno this just always bothered me about harleys.

but again, sick purchase, enjoy it! hit me up if you want to ride sometime.

Thank Unions, thank the American way of life. Expensive labor makes for products that are sometimes inferior, yet more expensive. We compain about outsourcing, about China/East Asian cheap labor, yet we never complain about the prices we pay at Wal-Mart.

  7. Alright, my fuel pressure is 43.5psi. Doesn't change anything for me. Maybe for you though. 80% DC is a safe limit. Sure you can go above 80%. I have on my old setup with 440's gone up to and above 90%. It's not something I want to risk with what I have put into this engine.

Shit-I have seen 106% spikes when I needed "all of it" for big money races on the smaller turbo in the Colt (circa 500+whp). 850cc injecotrs-turn it up and pray.. If you get close, bump the pressure up.

And to think I never melted down a motor. :bangbang:

That is why you are still the craziest rican I've ever come to know and love.

    You know it!

    Answer you phone!

  8. And that matches perfectly with what I said. 450bhp with 4 injectors is around 66lb/hr with 80% duty cycle. 66lb/hr * 1.46 (E85 consumption increase) = 96lb/hr, or 1000 for 450bhp. Assuming 15% drivetrain loss, that's close to 400whp.

As for you, 700whp = ~102lb/hr. Multiple that by 1.46 and you get ~150lb/hr, or 1575cc for E85.

So yes, you need 1600's for 700 and I need 1000's for 400.

But your considering at 80% Duty Cycle, and unknown (to your calculations) fuel pressure.

When I see 80% Duty cycle, I turn the boost up.

  9. looks good man, too flashy for my taste with the grafics but dam sexy none the less.

He has a Loud, bright Copper Vette. What did you expect?

  11.

I wish this was some cruel cruel joke kenny was playing on everyone. :(

I HATE reading this, and not hearing about it. Now I know what all the 614 area code calls were about last night. I cant even express how I feel right now. Sick, disgusted-especially after all the RIP threads, I thought this was a joke.:(

If we don't have a cruise for kenny we all fail as a community.

    :(

Agreed. I'll ride my bitch ass down there you guys make it a weekday-or Sunday.
