  1. hmm it took you forever to full spool while racing me in mexico. i coudl get a 1/2- 1 car length an then you spool an BAM gone lol

    me you dig race :bangbang:

Thats when I was having all those boost control issues remember? Those have been resolved with the re-worked wastegate position.

    Im always down to dig!

  2. right on man cars running great! any thing you can do to get that thing to spool a little quicker?

It does not really have a problem now. Im not brake boosting in any of these pulls.

3rd gear was weak sauce because of my short shifting out of second.

  3. Still on bad head gasket (lifted head with 50psi @ BR event 3 months ago). I make 3 pulls, then add coolant, then race again. :) Still on same, noisy, ready to blow D50 trans. I refuse to fix the car, since the trans sounds like it is ready to pop, but it shifts SO freakin good! I told myself a month and a 1/2 ago I wont fix the HG till the tranny pops!

Silver Evo made 53X whp on BR's Dyno- goes 11.000000@mid 130's

Red Evo is a 35r@3Xpsi car. Its very slightly slower than the silver car

    SC300 has a 67mm on it, made 5XXwhp

I was at 24-26psi for these runs

    Flys bys of other runs-

  4. I love how anyone assumes the kid that wrecked that car bought it himself.

I am going to bet it was purchased by Mommy and Daddy motorsports. As are most cars in that price catagory for people that age and younger.

I didnt read the whole thread-but I cant believe that someone, especially on CR, assumed that....

  5. If you're serious about running a 35r on a bone stock motor then you may want to reconsider. You should at least consider replacing the rod bolts and head studs while the motor is already out of the car.

A 35r at lowish boost (25psi) is a bit of a dog. It doesn't really wake up until 28-32PSI and at that point you are going to be pushing 500 to the wheels. The motor isn't going to hold up at the RPM you're going to want to turn. Think about valve springs now too if you intend to spin the car to 8k or so where it would want it.

Is this car a IX? If so then I would honestly argue with you that you could ET the car quicker on a stock IX turbo than a radically tamed down 35R.

I can confirm this-NIGHT AND DAY from 15 to high 20's psi.
