    Well I figure a 9 inch wont break for what I want might as well do it right once.

     

    And about the 4cyl comment. I just want power down low and you cannot get the torque I want from a 4cylnder that low to impress me. I have driven lots of LSX cars and been in them to know enough of what I want.

     

    I'm doing research everyday. so far looks as if I can swap an LSX in there and keep the rear end...

     

    Have you ever dirven a 2.4L with a 50 trim? Say, a 240...

     

     

    Its insta-torque.

    Maybe the reason you dont find any "cool" cops is you.

     

    I know plenty that are "cool". There is a reason I have a wallet full of FOP cards, and still have my license at all.

     

    But, average joe cop usually has a complex.

     

     

     

     

    i find this a little odd... last weekend I got popped doing 101 on my bike in delaware on 71.

     

     

    He was probably just happy you stopped at all.

    scariest night of my life... Of course I was the only passenger that got thrown to the ground and handcuffed... Lame I have road burn on my chest from it and he threw my Phone to the ground because it was ringing... WTF?! Then went thru it searching for people who were out racing

     

     

    Sounds like some "tuff guys" on a mission.

     

     

     

    If you guys thin that 70% or more of cops are NOT they guy you picked on in school, the kids that had no power, no control when they were young, and have been seeking an outlet to get that power, then you must not know many cops. There is a reason why its rare to find a "cool" cop.

     

     

    Now, we obviously play with fire every time we go out, and sometimes you get burned. But lets hope they dont make an example out of our boys.

    I'm surprised to hear that you've come across bad reviews for Mandalay Bay. I've been there several times (though, admittedly, I haven't had a room there) and I was impressed each time. It's big - so it's on the same level as the rest of the mega-casinos there (e.g., Winn, Venetian, Bellagio, Mirage) - and it's fairly elegant, too. Personally, I wouldn't have any problems reserving a room there. I'm curious, though - what has been expressed in those bad reviews you mentioned?

     

    There are several major and what I could consider decent casinos in the near vicinity of Mandalay Bay, including the Luxor, New York/New York, and, I believe, MGM. Excalibur is close to Mandalay Bay as well, but Excalibur is a bit too "theme" oriented for me.

     

    If cost isn't a factor, then I would consider staying at these casinos: The Palms, Winn (i.e., the most expensive, newest casino there), the Bellagio, the Venetian, and the Hard Rock. No, I don't think any of them are "close" to Mandalay Bay, which is to say they aren't right across the street. But, really, everything is fairly condensed, and nothing is further than a relatively short cab ride away. So, if I had my way, I'd shack up at, say, a Playboy suite at The Palms and just cab it to the Mandalay Bay for the work stuff.

     

    Mandalay is one of the nicer hotels, I am very surprised you heard a bad review about it. Hotels I have stayed at in Vegas that I have had nothing but the best to say about them are:

     

    Palms

    Mandalay

    Wynn

    Paris

    TI

    Venetian

     

    Thats about it. If you want to live it up- Palms, Wynn, Bellagio. And Mandalay is a GREAT place to say. Spent the night there once, but it was not my room.

     

     

    . The best in my book is Planet Hollywood for 20 somethings...

    I think I'm ready to go. We need to plan a date that we can all get together!

     

    I'd like to do some 60 rolls instead of 40 rolls though. I can actually almost maybe hook 60 in 2nd gear.

     

     

    Sounds good, but thats up to the people running you. Better see how you are from 50-55 and be ready to compromise....

     

    How available are you on Sunday evenings? How much time do you need to be ready for action?

    The last time we heard about a mythical IPS powered TT Vette, it was left in the dust of every decent car we brought down.

     

    We left the rinngers at home for this trip. No point in bringing the big boys down unless they have somthing worth the gas to drag around 270.
