I honestly cant. You can PM me if you like-but Linn and Sam were witnesses to the action.

I finished the car around 12am Saturday night, with intentions of bringing it out to the shootout that was then rained out. The bottom end has been finished and in the car since last year-but I waited 7+months for a head that I still done have, so I went to the yard, got a head off a junk Elantra for $30, and the trash was on. In 5 days, the turbo/cooling system and wiring was built, fabbed, and installed. There was MUCH more fab work than I anticipated, and thats why the car was not at the show Saturday. http://www.doitbig.org/coltboostin/pics/4GX7/done/ I will answer specific questions, but here are the cliffs notes. 2.4 Liter-Eagle/Weisco assembled by me heavily used ACT 2600 w/6 puck 100% stock Rx-7 driveline Twin China 50 trims $50 "Bo-Bo" manifold, mig welded, ugly, hilarious! JMF intake (thanks Jim!) Q45 TB 1600cc DSMLink (the BEST for your DSM) twin 2.5 DP's to 4 inch made from scraps exhaust Modified $140 Ebay intercooler Honda Rad in inverted V-mount confg. Stock head/cams Sleeper Cage As for the TT-I did it just to see if it would work. I know its inefficient on a 4 banger-but at what I pay for these China turbos, its worth a try. IF it doesn't work-no big deal. It will have a GT42 back on it within a matter of days. A Budget that would make most cry. I have not ran the numbers-but as it sits I am 99.9% sure its well under the Colt's $5200 total investment. I know it will be up for debate with MAP's FD-but since I have had the initial intention, and had the motor in since 06-is it safe to say this is the worlds first documented 4G RX-7? Track times, and a shit ton of video to come

The Colt got me sex. True fucking story. DK
-
Thats impressive-but if you have the right trans/clutch/flywheel set up, as well as a EMS that has a NLTS function, it makes shifting that quick very easy.
-
Nosir.
-
Cant argue with that. The same holds true int he DSM community. Making magic out of nothing is my claim to fame. So-thanks for the statement I suppose. I found my camera-I will take better pics of the car tomorrow.
-
My thoughts exactly. WTF-we can race all night fucking long, passing people at 3x the legal limit, with no police issues, but they get a hard on towing random fucking cars for no damn'd reason?! If the club parked the car-you may be able to sue them for any damage/money loss incurred.
-
Although there is no proof of how much he drives it, thats one. Now-lets consider he spent more in the turbo alone, and motor alone, than what I have into my whole project! Also-considering your ignorant friend is still yet to reply-do you honestly feel the rotary motor is more reliable @ big power than a 4Gxx?
-
I agree 100%. The $130 harbor freight fisher price welder isnt the best...
-
Yup. Whenever I took my rocket downtown, random chics would always ask for a ride. If I was sober-I would scold them, and tell them it could be my first day riding, and I could dump the bike and kill them, that they shouldn't be doing this. If I had a few-I would tell them sure-but we'd better be going back to your place or mine! This shit aint free. DK
-
In my experience, its been because they are slow and comfy. I give girls a ride, and as soon as I would get into boost, I would have cleanup on isle 5 on my fucking seat, or they would just hate me like I beat them or some shit. DK

You a sick, sick fucker.

I offer this challenge to you-as I did to all of the RX-7 world. Find ME ONE, just one rotary powered car, making 700+whp(at mild boost) and 500+ft lbs that was in a daily driven car, that was raced every weekend, and never needed a rebuild. to this day, that cheap motor still lives, unopened from the day I built it. It just went 9.30 in an AWD in Connecticut. Not only did my cheap POS Colt achieve this, but I could give you a nice list of other Daily drivers in the 9's, over 700whp, and many of which that still rock AC! Again, find me ONE rotary powered car that can make this claim, and everyone here wont laugh at you.
-
Have you ever owned either car? I have-can stock for stock or modded for modded-the DSM wins out in the reliably arena. I dont agree-its pretty cheap and junkyard looking, but thanks! That was a shenanigan to try and motivate IPS to back up their (mostly Jeff's) mouth get something done and race me! It, as well as all other attempts. have not work.
-
Done have any at the moment-not with this turbo set up at least! Nope-and this head I put on the car is the shittiest POS that I have pulled from the yard in a while! Crusty burn valves and all... Just because. I have access to China turbos SUPER cheap now, direct from China pricing. These 50 trims have help up on local 400+whp bikes for nearly 2 years of flooging without failure, so at 150-200$ RETAIL (depending on sixe of shipment, I cant go wrong. If it does not work out, I will just put a GT42 back on the car. Fixed.

Well, if you just go to doitbig.org , there are some interesting pics on the revolving banner.

All 4G6X oil pans (even the truck blocks) are forward sump, putting it right were the rack/crossmember are. I had to build the oil pan, and associated pick up tube. Couple that with the oil filter housing I had to build, since the stock stuff did not clear, and I had a 99% custom oiling system, I was not sure was going to work until 2 nights ago! Yesir-funny part being with not one custom part involved. That sole fusion was the main reason I went with an RX-7 over my other considerations- (240sx, Miata, "Old School" 70 something toyota ro datsun)

I wanted to drive and race the pig at the shootout, but it may prove to be to complicated to finish. Even if the car does make it out, dont expect much. It will have 0 miles, and 0 tuning time under its belt. Couple that with a stock HG, stock head studs, and a nasty head out of some junkyard car, and you have an ill performing fusion machine. More pics to come when its done. http://www.doitbig.org/coltboostin/pics/4GX7/almost/

Did anyone make it thought he whole thing?
-
If there is no oil injectors-there is supposed to be a constant ratio, so I would assume yes, unless you felt you had enough oil left in the tack from the last application.
-
Thanks to Defined Autoworks tuning ability....

I would comment-but I could not see a fucking thing! DK -
Premix. The rotary motor has oil injectors stock, and most people remove them upon rebuild. Looks nice. Is this your FC?

Have to have a bunch of high pitch JDM girls scream in it? Either way-I <3 JDM http://youporn.com/watch/9710 BTW- The music makes me feel like I am in an S2000. Did you guys know every S2000 comes equipped with a JDM Tecno mixtape standard? DK

Just for reference- DSM shootout in Norwalk this weekend. There will be 500 some Evos, DSMs, and other troublemakers patrolling Norwalk and RT-10 Saturday night. DK
