I say don't get sucked into fighting them wit "boots on the ground"...won't work...use air power, and drones..
  9. I've got one, and like it....I used it a ton on my west coast trip this year.....
  10. I bought my Vstrom there....great deal, I made an offer, and they agreed. I bough bikes from Mark when he worked at Classic ... No complaints from me with Iron Pony...My bike had a recall on the ECU, and spark plugs, no problem there either, they ordered the parts and replaced them..I'm happy.
  11. To me it's the ride, not the destination....Both my Vstrom, and the Versys are great for trips...
  12. I voted just to vote no on any taxes....................
  13. I ride there a couple times per year....it's 470 from here.. I go a few different ways, usually take 159 fron 22 down to 104, then 74 to 41, go across the river at Aberdeen, then 68 to I75 at Lexington,to Knoxville... It's not much farther than 70 to 71, to 75 at Cinci. and avoids riding through Cinci, and much better roads than the interstate IMO.. My other route is thru WV to I77 at Princeton to Fancy Gap, and down the BRP (that's a 2 day ride)
  14. While i was one of the original member on rideohio.......it's not for me jussayin'
  15. Great write up Lance.......some of my favorite roads
  16. Like Mags said I love mine, I also have a DL1000 Vstrom, but the Versys is my favorite....I've had a couple of them, got rid of them for something else, and came back to the Versys every time... Great ergo's decent power, great handling, many options available for storage, windshields, ergo's, etc.... I've taken mine on many trips including a few to the Gap, and down the BRP..IMO a perfect all around bike...cruising at 80 on the interstate is no problem..I've owned a ton of bikes, but the Versys has knocked my gen1 FZ1, and my RD350's off of my top spot......
  17. It rode on New Years...It was one of the best ones to ride on in years..
