One of my friend's sons first word was turbo. We were having problems getting a bolt started while installing a front mount on his car so we made the midget do it. He might have been two at the time. When he first started talking you could pick him up and point to stuff under the hood of the GN and he would tell you what it was.

I think it would be cooler with a manual, but as already said, it will go much faster with an auto. You will also be less prone to breaking driveline components since the initial hit won't be as hard.
